I know many of us ladies enjoy being creative in one way or another. My two biggest are writing music and playing music and cooking.  Two of my high school friends were/are chefs  and many others of them are in hospitality as well. I learned a lot from them and I’ve always enjoyed a well prepared meal, but I see no need to spend $200 for it if I can prepare it myself. That being said I do go out and support the restaurant industry, especially for things I can’t or am unwilling to prepare.  Anyway, I enjoy cooking. I do it almost every day.   It’s been a busy weekend, but I found time for a little picnic. A nice piece of sirloin with home made chimichurri.  And of course my signature to die for mashed potatoes. Or maybe they will kill you.  It’s a life choice. LOL.  Lots of butter and half and half.  Anyway everything turned out great. Family was happy.  And I’m happy.

It’s a dreary and cold, wet rainy Memorial Day weekend. What better to do than cook!   Starting with pasta sauce from scratch.
