I've been on hrt for two months now, starting to feel disconnected with my penis.... I don't know how to describe it but I could almost talk to it, tell it what to do...... now I'm getting lost in the translation......no response what so ever.... Is this normal???? Is it temporary???  Sorry if my question is rough.... I don't know how to ask it any other way..... Thanks ?

I think you are in a round about way talking about sexual function? That can happen depending on dosages. Usually a good dose of spiro will do that. Are you distressed about it?

Everyone will have a different result due to the complexities of body chemistries and different doses but this is quite common. Right now your body is trying to stabilize using the new hormones given. There will be more changes.

I noticed that getting a pleasure response took a lot more mental work…a lot more… like 45 mins. to an hour more..lol Stimulation changed quite a bit over time for me. The cutaneous senses down there really changed a lot….everything felt a bit more sensitive to the touch especially as the skin becomes thinner. I think I was three months in before I noticed these changes you describe. I can’t speak for anyone else but in my case, my libido never went back to the higher pre-HRT levels. I was not disappointed in the least for these changes to occur.

There are some very good products on the market to help you speed things up. Women commonly use them. Trust me they work well.

Give “it” some time,

Hi Shawnster,

Susan described it well. I can't give you a specific timeline, but it will very likely change even more. We have talked before and I am gender fluid. I have to say for me the mental changes I got from losing testosterone made everything else worth it.

After several months I tried one of those products Susan mention just to see what the reaction would be and it worked, but took more time. Something like Cialis might help. I am constrained from estrogen for a few more months because of cancer. I also don't know what that will do. I had GCS last month and wondering how it will change things, but I'm OK either way. Is this something you can live with?

Hugs,

Mike
