Hi everyone, I am Transgender, and if Possible, and my health permits, I want to start MtF transitioning soon. I found jackie rabbit on YouTube and she recommended this site. I am so happy that i ran across her post on Youtube. Her Video's have been so helpful for me.

So, I jumped right over to this site and joined right away.

I'm 69 years old, I have just retired, I am Married (41 years... ugh!) and have one boy who will be 40 years old this month.

I didn't really know that there was such a thing as MtF Transitioning until about 10 years ago. My car had Transmission problems and i got online to look up transmission symptoms and started typing in 'Trans...' and '-transgender-' popped up. I thought 'Yeah, we call transmission's -transgender-'. So I clicked on the link and these beautiful, Gorgeous girls came on screen. Then a few pictures down I noticed that she had something extra there. I'm thinking "Ha, someone done hacked their website and photoshopped all their pictures".

I started reading and found out about Male to Female HRT. I was ECSTATIC!!!  I had found new life in me. That is what I Want!!!

 

I started trying on my sisters clothes when i was about 5 years old. I loved the freedom that i felt when i put on her skirts. My Mother caught me and quickly took it off and told me boys were  not supposed to wear girls clothes. 

When i was about 17, i told my mother that i wished that i have been born a Girl. That didn't settle well with her at all.

Later, when i was in my early twenties, when everyone was gone, i would put my mother's make up on. I couldn't believe my eyes when i would see myself in the mirror. I LOVED how i looked. 

Then i got Married, and on a couple of Halloweens i would dress up in my wife's clothes, with her make up and surprised her. And, Just like my Mother it disgusted her. So back in to the closet i go.

Then about 39 years later, (about 2 years ago) i expressed my desire to my wife about Transitioning, Again that didn't go over well. 

So, that is me and where i am currently at. I apologize for rambling on, but it feels so very very good to be able to let it out.

Yeah, the closet's no fun. Also, there are bugs. Your story is pretty familiar to us older gals. Welcome aboard! Wish we'd had the internet back in the before time. My life would have been so much less confusing, y'know?

Welcome Josie.

I'm about your age myself, and back in the day transgender was a too well kept secret.  I suspect my life would have been a lot different if I had realized what was "wrong" with me.

@josie0314 Welcome - I just turned 69 and was drawn here by Jackie as well. She is a very good goodwill ambassador and I'm glad you came across her videos. Lots of similarities in past. glad you are here.

Welcome Josie! Our journeys have a lot of similarities, except for discovering the answer while researching a transmission problem. That's priceless! Glad you found your way here.
