i am curious what effect the hrt will have on my body hair. i know i will have to have electrolysis for my face but my chest and stomach hair is what i am concerned with. i have naturally thin body hair and it is very light blonde. i am on spiro, and estridiaol lol spelling, and only a week in. thanks in advance for all your input.

It'll make it finer and lighter, but not to the extent of a cis-woman. Give HRT a bit to do it's magic and see what you think. Like most transition-related things, your reaction might be radically different from someone else's.

Hugs!

Everyone is different.  Some people actually do have their body hair change totally to that of a cis woman.  Others not so much.  If yours is already quite fine, you may win this lottery.  If you are a wookie, not so much.

I never had a lot of body hair to begin with: only a few dozen hairs on my chest, none on my back, a thin male-pattern pubic strip running up to my navel, and averagely hairy legs.  After about a year and a half on HRT (spiro and estradiol), I had no chest hair - none -, my pubic hair was 100% female-pattern, my thighs were hairless, and my calves had less hair than many cis women.  Basically, my body hair is 100% female, without my having to do anything about it.

I've had a similar response as KathyLauren.  I had light hair on my legs and arm, no chest hair.  Now I have no discernible hair on my legs and arms.  My publc hair has changed too, its shorter and feminine patterned.

That says it.

I’m just over 5 months HRT and have noticed that the little chest hair I had is gone. I’ve been shaving my legs 3 times a week for years but am pleased to get by with just once a week now. I think my facial hair ( what’s left of it) has slowed a bit too. I haven’t noticed any pubic hair pattern changes but I don’t focus much on down there.

For me i wasn't super hairy, but had enough hair. In places woman typically don't have it. After 9 months of hormones I can say this. My leg hairs have gone mostly blond, and I have less hair. My chest seems like it had also done the same thing. Other then a little patch in the middle, but as time moves on. Even that is getting less dark, and dense. I can't comment on my back hair. I know I had some, but according to a ex. It wasn't a lot before hormones.
