Hi everyone. I am transgender identifying as female. I realised last year (in the first lockdown) that I have to be honest to myself about my gender identity and have slowly been coming to terms with what it means. I have only come out to a few friends and close family with mixed but mostly positive results. I joined here for advice, friendship, just a bit of support really

Hi & welcome @Bree Eldred! Isn't it remarkable - I think having that time away from the perceived expectations of society was a MAJOR silver lining for many trans folks as it provided time and space for self-reflection and discovery. That was my experience as well. Much love!

Hi Bree, pleased to meet you  The fact that you have a few people who are already in the know is great, for me telling someone else out loud was a massive step to take! Everyone here is at different stages and on different journeys but the hope is that we can offer support to one another!

Welcome Bree! I have found all those thing you seek in joining here & acceptance of me just as I am. I think you will too. Becoming honest with myself was so crucial for me as well, I spent many years repressing & not liking who I really am. I like me today.
