Almost 1 and a half month on hrt and I have some concerns....

I'm 21 years old and in 2 days I take my 6th shot of estradiol, and I'm currently taking t-blockers everyday. I've noticed some strange changes on my sexual behavior and I'm wondering if anybody felt this way, or is feeling this way. So the story goes a bit like this, I'm dating this super cute girl that I like a lot and most of the time I don't feel the same sexual desires as before I started hormones. The thing is whenever I feel this sexual desire and I masturbate the orgasm feels QUITE different. It is much more intense; I remember that before starting hormones the orgasm focused on the genitals and it lasted like 3 seconds. Now that I am taking hormones every time I have an orgasm it goes all the way through my body and it's so intense that may whole body even cramps. This orgasms I'm experiencing last like 10 seconds with the cramps and like 30 seconds until I am able to chill a little bit.

Another change I'm seeing is that even tho I'm taking the hrt, I'm still feeling really sexually active, super different than before, but still pretty much active.

Is anybody experiencing or experienced something like this? I'd really like to know

I would suggest discussing with your provider and be honest as hormones vary widely and affect different people differently. So check with your provider and see if adjustments are needed or if your regimen is right for you and those are expected results.

I'll tell her my concerns! Thanks Heather :)

In general, injectable hormones are more potent and may result in stronger reactions that either pills or patches, because you're getting a much bigger dosage all at once.  That may be why you're getting these strong reactions.  I agree with @Shaythat you need to follow up with your doctor and give her all the details.

What @Shay and @Carolyn Marie said about seeing your doctor, but yeah, that's about the same result I got. It took longer, but I'm older and on oral.

I had read that with HRT involving T blockers and estrogen the orgasms are more intense and last longer.  After my divorce from my first wife at age 22 I got involved with a woman who like feminine men. She was on the butch side and her "butchyness" seems to fluctuate with her cycle. She had a lot of experience "pegging" gay and bi males. I had the most intense body rush orgasms like the ones you describe when she pegged me. Whether your orgasms will change is probably unknown and your libido may change as the T blockers and estrodial kick in more.

Maybe what's happening is that you are -visiting- so hard that it is causing cramps. You could also be deficient in some minerals and electrolytes. Ask your MD to check for that. I've had muscle cramps from intense orgasms as well as blood vessels breaking in my eyelids.

Hi! Thank you for telling me your experience. I don't really understand the expression "visiting". Would you mind telling me what it means? Also thank you for the advice

I don't know how the word visiting git there. I didn't write it. I think I wrote the other word for having an orgasm that starts with c and ends in ing. Intense orgasms can cause muscle cramps.

We have an automatic word filter that will filter out and replace any word or phrase that is considered rude, crude or lewd. While this may seem prudish, we do this to protect our younger teen members. Many of whom have parents watching over their shoulder. We keep the site at a PG rating. Please do keep that in mind for any future posting.

you make this sound like a bad thing. sexual satisfaction, whether done on your own or with a partner, is a major part of living and if you are experiencing it better than before...well yay! your body may be reacting to the new hormone intake. i say go for it unless you don't like it. thank you. :)

seems you are doing 'in loco parentis' in order to 'protect' teens from learning naughty words. well guess what.....teens know all of the naughty words you know....and a whole lot more. lol i do understand what you are saying and you do need control of this forum, but it did give me a good laugh. lol thank you. :)

Well obviously, but their parents don't like to know that their kids know so...

so you're really doing 'in loco parentis' mainly for the parents who visit here. good for you for protecting them! thank you. :)

I'm not a mod or admin, but by my understanding, I think the bigger problem is the transphobic or otherwise overly prudish parents who would see a (gasp!) "bad word" or "naughty subject matter" (!) and react by trying to ban their teen from getting help here, or maybe even bar them from other lgbt+ safe spaces, or otherwise use it as fuel againt their teen or against the overall trans community.

It's an unfortunate need, and I know I had a hard time getting accustomed to it, but it is what it is. Besides, I imagine the alternative would probably be to make the forum 18+, and that would be a far bigger disservice to trans and trans-questioning teens.

I don't know about the cramps, but aside from the cramping, the rest of it sounds to me like everything I've heared about the difference between male orgasms and female orgasms. I'm not on hrt yet myself though, so I don't have direct personal experience here.

i don't think i've experienced either strictly male or strictly female orgasms so i wouldn't know the difference. maybe something in between? but the ones i have had since i was able to achieve them 10 years or so ago have always been fantastic. and my doctor has always told me to either 'use it or lose it'. so i use it. a lot! lol i personally think sexuality is as much mentally/emotionally driven as it is hormonal. so just keep good thoughts in your head as you do whatever it is you do! lol anyhoo that's my take on the subject of orgasms. lol thank you. :)
