Hi From the New Me

I'm Dartti, MtF. I'm 50 and came in late June of this year. My wife had NO IDEA I was dealing with this but took it well. We're not sure where this will leave us but we are taking it one day at a time, forward. I have a best friend in her, no matter what. Which, sadly, we all know isn't the case for many of us. 

 

I love movies, board games. I love ANYTHING The Go-Go's and I'm thrilled that ABBA has recorded for th first time in 40 years. I love spending time with my wife and our two beautiful children that are growing like flowery weeds. I'm currently watching all the movies that are impotent to me with my son. Aside playing FPS on the Xbox, this is our time. My daughter, who is 15, and we NEVER see, opens up like a flower over a nice meal out or a good board game. 

 

I'm a cartoonist by trade, I've done everything from character design, concept art for video games, storyboards for animation but what I'm most proud of is the series of children's books about a little Muslim boy and his friends. The profit goes to build clean water wells in little villages in Africa. The best part is that on these wells is a plaque with MY art on it.

 

In the end, my whole coming-out feels wonderful and I have no regrets.
