Funny how this is "news" now when it happened in 2014.  But considering it is "Fox News" it figures.  Kinda connects to the Supreme Court hearings/vote I suppose.

 

But they want this to be how the public perceives us all.  And there are plenty that will go for it.

That's what they do; take one instance and blow it up and repeat it ad nauseum until their audience believes it applies to all of us.  They are very good at that.  But all the R's who have been arrested and convicted of sex crimes?  Not a peep.  The folks at Fox and all the Murdoch-owned publications put the Kremlin's propaganda efforts to shame.  The only thing that keeps our population from becoming like Russia is that we (so far) have other choices for media & print news.

Gascon is an embarrassment to our area here to be sure.  I do agree that a particular groups of youth have been disproportionately given harsher prison treatment in the past here, and I voted for the guy (blush) on that basis.  In his campaign he had sounded reasonable and going to act on a case by case basis, but his BLANKET policies have undermined his staff (which includes two Trans DDA's who are my IRL friends) by its lack of professionality.

 

NOTE: the predator here has conveniently decided to "Come Out" after arrest and shows hope of being compensated in come way by coming out this way.  Ironically there are part of the H8 community which we do have here that will subsidize the person's tale telling for political reasons.
