The Church Of Prismatic Light. You might think I'm kidding, but the Oklahoma mother of a trans kid is starting a new religion that is waiting for fed approval to become an official non profit.

The goal: to make transitioning a right of religious freedom. I am following the developments on Instagram and Twitter as just in a matter of a couple weeks word has gotten around in trans social media, enough for me even to stumble on it. 

Interesting- this appears to be an idea whose time has come as recent political events in the "culture wars" continue to unfold... but can a one-woman startup succeed where larger instutions have failed? I think she is going to need a team of lawyers in addition to the graphic artists and webdesigners she has assembled.

There is precedent.  There was "'Witches in Nature's Colors' (WINC), a coven of modern-day witches that worships the power of color" in the flick Like a Mighty Wind.

I am simply going to give the woman credit for having the guts to try and help her child and other children.  I am very active in my own religious denomination which does accept Trans people and whose governing elders have already slammed back at the Texas move and who will endorse its comments to other states as well, but I see where even more is needed to get some points out in public.  Religion in my view is being weaponized in so many places that it is the new "open carry" object, and unless that open carry leads to the use of lethal force of other weapons why not try to use it from both sides.
