alright guys/gals/everyone.

i have long crazy hair.

i am attached to it (literally too..haha.)

so, basically i haven't cut it in a while..and every time i cut it i feel sad (waa poor me...moving on)

but, it really does keep me from passing a lot....i think. though i'm not really in a place where i can try to pass as male anyway......whatever.

i'm trying to pass for myself.

so.

back to the issue.

i could just leave it long. or i could do dreadlocks (i've wanted to since i was a little kid, and it's really thick and course, and tangles like...well, yeah, wouldn't be hard to do)

Lew has suggested that i just cut it and donate it (since something good must come out of every action...)

but, 2 probelems (sorry, Lew) 1. if i cut it i'll have a white boy fro...it'll just look...puffy. dumb. etc...or if i go really short everyone will see my lumpy head.

2. locks of love doesn't accept bleached hair (that's right...it's not completely natural..i fail there...)

so.................ideas?

i'm kinda thinking that dreadlocks is my best bet, but i want to know what you all think.

I was gonna say donate, but if you can't then I'd go with dreads. Your hair looks perfect for that, and it'd look really cool. Would not suggest the afro. My dad had one when he was 16. His hair is dark, but it still makes a frightening picture

that sucks man. i had a friend in high school who's mum wouldn't let her get dreads cuz they're too masculine. whatever happened to cultural appreciation.

just tell your mum you want to do it b/c of your heritage... she should like that, right?

I've never been a big fan of dreadlocks but I had a friend in college who had the 'white' Afro and it looked ridiculus on him!

So with those as the choices - dreadlocks, MON!

I recommend dreads.

I also recomend finding ur way to google images and looking up cyber dreads or cyber locks.

A silly suggestion: Do you have to donate your hair to a human? I bet birds would love to use your hair as nesting material. And I bet they wouldn't be too picky about the bleach, either.

I think if passing is your priority, you should probably cut it. It IS possible to cut your hair short without having the 'fro look or buzzing it and showing a strangely shaped skull. If cutting it is not an option, then I vote dreads.

I may be a minority on this but I'd say leave it long. I like the way it is. There are a lot of guys with long hair and I think the trend of long hair is coming back. You said it yourself, cutting makes you sad. Why do we want that? hehe.

I would say dreads over an afro also. I seen a few afro's on diiferent people and they didnt look as good as dreads do.
