Got surgery date, Yay?

So it's been almost 10 years since I started transition (hormones, hair removal, name change). Today I finally got word from my surgeon's office that I can get bottom surgery at the end of October. I thought it would be longer. They had told me before it would be about 6 months. 

 

When I got the message, I ran through quite a few emotions. From euphoria to anxiety and fear. It's been so long to get here I guess I never thought it would really happen. I had resigned myself to thinking the way I am now was enough.  And now I'm sitting here thinking "Is this really what I want/need?"

Am I crazy?

No, you’re not crazy. Sometimes change- even really good change can be hard to process and deal with. Just give yourself time to mentally prepare. And you do have time. Months, in fact. And in that time you change your mind and decide you don’t want it, thats okay too and you can call it off!
