Hi I am Jaelynn and transgender.Before I came out at age 18,relationship with my dad was rocky at times and one was I never would open up to him.I grew up being one of the guys growing realizing I was not this.When dad was not home,I secretly crossdressed at time.I would get clothes from my female friends I would borrow.After graduating from high school,lived with dad for a little bit and met some great transwomen that gave me a wake up call.They told me their story and said it was mine.Even transformed me into a female a few times and realized I was transgender going out with them.I finally opened up in July of 1997 to my dad coming out to him as transgender.It got better and he was proud of me opening up.Things are great with us now and he calls me Jaelynn now.Sees me much happier living and dressing as a woman.I am married to a great guy whom is a female to male.We have 3 daughters whom are 20,18 and 16 together.They know we are both transgender and love us like any normal parents.

As a kid,I had issues opening up keeping the door shut.Knew I was transgender when I was 7 years old.Admit I felt guilty not opening up to my dad and he did forgive me for this

Welcome Jaelynn.  I kept hiding much of my life.  My father, a veteran of WW2 would never have accepted me.  That i found out as a child.  Glad you have found peace with your family.  That is a joy to be savored!

@JaelynnN Hi Jaelynn! That's wonderful! I've met some on here who are truly friends, I wish we were closer together so we could visit in person. I've met some in local support groups, but none yet who I feel a special bond with. Still looking, still hopeful!
