Why do woman seem to understand better?

There has been a lot understanding with my transition from both sexes of my inner circle. Especially the females in my life. The only push back I get from them is the hair removal, and from my bigger breast friends. Would ask why I would want boobs. My male friends are typically like as long as im happy. They have the whatever view on it.

The one thing I have noticed that different. Is the way they view my transition and sexual choices. As we are all between 30-40. Sex is still a big part of our relationships. So when my male friends find out I'm dating a chick. I get the confused as hell look, and tons of questions about how that happens. Because to them sex is just sticking some thing in a hole. I usally laugh and say do you really want the answers to that? That is usally followed by nope.

My female friends on the other hand. When they find out I'm dating a woman. They don't really ask the sex questions. Its mostly the millions of questions about her. Yea there are sex questions, but I think its because they have spent their whole lives as woman, and as im figuring out. There is a lot more to sex then sticking some thing in a hole. I never get asked stupid questions about the who, what, and how. Like I do from my male friends. To me I find it werid. That there is that munch difference on how sex is viewed between the sexes..

Hello

When I first started my transition I felt like Cis women understood more. I think women can be more caring and give me the impression of that they understand. I think it was because I felt heard. In my experience with Cisco women they honestly have just as much a clue as Cisco men. I'm just basing it on the convos I had with them. I think also

Personally I think both are clueless the only people that truly understand me is you guys on here

Yea both are pretty clueless in some stuff. Like neither understand how munch it cost. I have one friend. That thinks my transition is cheap. I have to remind her. Beard removal is nearly 150 a month, het is like 150 ever three months. On top of buying new clothes..I'm wearing bras that are way to small. Because I can't afford new ones.

Other wise they are pretty understanding overall.

And makeup needs replacing, a continual expense. At least for me. Also like to experiment once an awhile with a new product. Let us not forget the pink tax. And where are those darn pockets, yet our clothing is more expensive.

‘And where are those darn pockets,’

Dont start me on pockets! What’s that all about?!

And yet I certainly have way more ‘stuff’ to cart about!

Its either a conspiracy by the handbag manufacturers of the world, or just a petty attempt to irritate women by male clothing designers….

Pockets or not I like having purse. They are handy IMO. I know men have their man bags, but how ugly can you get. I will never forget trying on a nice pair of black shorts (also my first time in a women's dressing room, I hadn't even started my transition. They certainly fir very nice, but when I go home ready to take a walk in them. Hey those front pockets where just seams. They did have back pockets, so I did have a place for my keys. Now a days I expect it, and I am more surprised to see a skirt (I'm a skirt girl for sure - whether home or out 95% of the time I am wearing a skirt) with pockets.

So much more. Yes we probably have enough similarities than differences, but the differences seem to get noticed more,.

I rarely have conversations of any depth with men, and that is perfectly fine with me, even though I know there are nice guys out there. And most woman don't ask any questions, they wait for me to tell them something about trans life. That's been my experience.

I actually work at a makeup store for a few more weeks. I pulled up my account, and other then a 122.00 purchase in April. I have spent less then 100 bucks in the Last year. I only buy the basics, or stuff I know that works. I do have to buy new brushes yet. That won't be cheap.

A hundred bucks is a lot of money to spend in a month when you are on disability). That is about 11% of my income. Everyone of us experience the world differently.

[I am not sure what my monthly makeup purchases. Thankfully I know they are no where near $100. Still it's an expense.]

There is a very big difference the way men and women interact with me as a trans-woman.
Women have accepted me into their ranks with open arms.  They accept me and support me with advice, affirming compliments, and patience/understanding in relation to my emotions.  I've had the most wonderful and long conversations with women, they actively listen to my words and provide amazing insights that I'd never thought about.  I think the best part though is the amount of extra trust they have in me since I started transitioning.
Men seem to accept, or not notice, me.  Those who've accepted me seem to be uncomfortable when I start sharing information about my past and/or new life.  I find conversations with men are much more difficult since I started HRT.   I'm not sure I've ever  felt supported by men - my younger brother is the only exception that I can think of.

You are spot on here ... but also it seems like such a rigged game for the average person that it's hard to invest energy into the political arena -- too much big money controlling too many people/organizations/narratives for the common person to fee; heard...   In general, why we in America accept either candidate is baffling... for all our innovation as a nation, we can't do better than these two bozos?    The problem is, the political arena is such a sham -- again with large money controlling all aspects of the system -- that a common-sense, love-your-neighbor, make-reasonable-compromises, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-to-work candidate will never make it anywhere above the local level (if even there)...    Everything is a reality show, and boring ol' decision makers that try to benefit the most people don't generate enough clicks, views and retweets...  I am not sure it is so much about celebrity as it is about party politics at all costs - "my side must always be viewed as right and your side must always be viewed as wrong!" kind of thinking... there is no consensus building anymore because that will get used against you in campaign ads... When Obama took office and then Hilary ran again, it was like all Republicans want to do was to find someone loud enough to put them in their place. Forget issues, forget character, just win a debate and rally the base.    To get back to your original point, not enough of us care about politics ... and in some ways we've become fat, happy and entitled as a nation. The yearning to achieve the "American dream", which drove my parents and their parents before them to work their tails off and sacrifice and save, is now just "give me the American dream for free while I sit here on my phone and watch tiktok..."

I am about 5 weeks ahead of you ... best wishes to you! For me it has been subtle changes at most so far (if any) ... but I am also on the "beginner's" level of patch, lol ...    Easy

Oh, another comment.   I am a conservative evangelical with strong Republican leanings. So is my wife, my friends, my family. I disagree with a good amount of what the Republicans are doing, but there it is.  I understand the mindset, I think, a lot better than those who are outside it do.   When you insult Republicans you insult me, my friends, my family.   People like me can struggle with trans issues.   Please consider that in posting.

      Then you are in despair.

I found this as well. No playacting, they just appear: the finger waggle wave; bracing my elbow on my other arm that's folded across my chest, wrist in the air half-cocked; walking a bit more fiercely... All that. My wife thought I was mocking her at one point!

I find my lack of time to read the thing frustrating, and I will not really comment until I have read it.  This is a wholly inadequate response.   1.  I think there are some legitimate concern.   2. Thoroughly discussing this will consume many threads.   3. I disagree partially with @MaeBe but there is partial agreement.   4. The context includes what is happening in society that the authors are observing.  It is not an isolated document.   5. Trump, if elected, is as likely to spend his energies going after political opponents as he is to implementing something like this.    6. I reject critical theory, which is based on Marxism.  Marxism has never worked and never will.  Critical theory has problems which would need time to go into, which I do not have.   7. There are groups who have declared war on the nuclear family as problematically patriarchal, and a lot of other terms. They are easy to find on the internet.  This document is reacting to that (see #4 above).   8.  Much of this would have to be legislated, and this is a policy documented.  Implementation would  be most likely different, but that does not mean criticism is unwarranted.

Sort of bracing myself for flipping, because I am wearing f and of course I wear f and it is natural to wear f and what else would I wear?  The  novelty is long gone out on this.  I wore a bra most of yesterday but we had a Zoom call and I took the bra off because I was concerned about the straps showing.  I missed it.    My body is saying "I am female!  Treat me that way!"   In the past it has screamed about this activity that  I have done to it.

This is what I'm scared of.  And it's quite possible. Apparently Chicken Little was right.

Finally I  am back online   I had to use the help of the contact form (not proud  of that, I always feel embarrassed and shy about contacting people), but here I am   missed all of you
    • atlantis63
I'm not happy to admit this, but I usually scream or break things.   Breaking things became a bit of a no no, because It was always a cd or something I liked and it got very expensive to replace stuff

Probably amusement parks. I've never been to one sadly, but I think I could talk for an hour about them without any problem
