Long hair and not getting misgendered

I have notice that since my hair down to my breasts, I don't seem to get misgender much at all (I admit to 2+ years on hrt). Before if I spoke my gendering could change, but now with my hair as long as it is this doesn't happen. I imagine that the same effect would go with a feminine hair style.

Anyway has anyone experienced the same thing because I am very curious to know.

PS - if this true than "most" people gender my hair length or style instead of voice.

I've found that hair really affects how people see me.  Long hair = "girl."  Short hair = "boy."  There's a handful of long-haired guys and short-haired girls, but they are somewhat outside of the social norm where I live.

I'm passing as a boy these days.  I have short yet fluffy hair.  Combine that with being naturally flat-chested and obvious armpit hair when I'm shirtless, and passing is pretty easy.  I would imagine since you're going the opposite way, long hair makes feminine appearance a lot easier.

I believe so. It seems like the only explanation. In another post I added acting like a woman naturally (did take a while).

PS - Nice to meet you

Looking really good I am also going for the long as I like it anyway I just tap in to feminine  side and go with what I feel

Have a wonderful day

I'm going to add that you've been on HRT for two years, from you're photo dress feminine and most probably have feminine traits and mannerisms. Long hair alone, in my opinion, wouldn't elicited a 100% correct gendering. Instead I'd attribute it to the effort and work you've done over the last few years.

I have to agree with you on the long hair being a positive influence on proper gender recognition. Body shape, clothing and presentation also helps. It also helps if you have your hair styled in a feminine manor. When I'm with my wife, and approached from behind. We're seen as ladies until they hear me speak. Approached from the front, and I'm still perceived as questionably androgynous to male. I'm really hoping HRT changes that.

I agree.  The worst place for getting miss gendered is in a drive through.  It’s the voice.  I am getting better at keeping my voice at the top of my register but that is barely in the feminine range.  HRT can help with lots of things for mtf but voice isn’t one of them.
