River City Sparkle

Hi everyone,

 

My wife and I had a great weekend in Sacramento, and we topped it off by attending River City Sparle, a transgender social event sponsored by the River City Gems.  This was my first west-coast trans event and it was a great time.  The best part about the social was getting to meet so many new girlfriends. 

 

The event included a cocktail social, a 3-course dinner and a dance party, all ingredients for a fun-filled evening.  The weather was quite warm, however, and it forced me to change outfits at the last moment.  I was going to wear an evening gown, but the weight of the material and the cut of the dress weren't conducive to the unexpectedly warm temps.  I stared heating up as soon as I put it on.  Consequently, I did a quick change opting for my backup dress which was a little-black-dress that was much lighter, much cooler and quite a bit shorter.  Still, I thought it looked great, and I got a lot of compliments.  

 

Overall, we had a great and awesome time, and we met a lot of new friends.
