Not being able to or desire to have any kind of Trans* Med treatment

These surgeries can be a serious as a vaginoplasty to having an orchiectomy for transgender woman. Top surgery or bottom procedures for transgender. Those who are nonbinary may even have a mix of surgeries. Hormonal treatments of any kind. Hair removal. Or anything that would make someone more comfortable in their own skin and so calmer in their minds. This is not by any means exhaustive.

Please feel free to post what your going through, how are your feeling. If offering help please be sure you do not make matters worse for them. Example: "Don' worry lot's pf people don't have any . . . "

Above all be respectful at all times

Thank you Stephie

I have recently decided to have an orchietomy  I'm 72 YO and should be worried about surgery, but I'm not.  I look forward to it because it helps me feel more like a woman.  I am planning to have vuloplasty, FFS, and FVS in the future.  I do these to make myself more who I know I am.  I have already gone through extensive electrolosis and plan to have more done.  I have also been on HRT for almost 2 years.   All of these things feel positive to me.  I can't tell you how happy I was when I found I could have an orchiectomy at a price I could afford.

I agree that all of this is very serious business.  If you're not absolutely sure of who you are and where you're going they I would strongly suggest not to do any of it and do some social transition first to see how it feels to you.

Someone close to me has socially transitioned but has had no medical procedures or electrolysis or LHR.  They are happy in their skin and live as a woman, with name change and the whole enchilada.  Just nothing medical.  So yes, it is doable and for some preferable.  To each their own.  Or as someone said years ago, "Different strokes for different folks."

Another aspect is a person's financial situation and access to resources, which may require some compromise and still living with some degree of discomfort or inconvenience.

I just can't afford completing electro RN. Laser has kept most dysphoria at bay and been able to fit it in budget. Shaving sucks, but it's not as intensive. Orchy is scheduled and I may be ok with that only IDK, it's a process.

No FFS, again, not in budget. If insurance covered FFS and hair removal, I would probably have them all done.

My degree of feeling femme changes day to day. And HRT effects go in spurts in seems like being a place for awhile like I hit a wall and then like recently obviously no we are far from done yet and I suspect that's why my appetite is ravenous and I need more rest.

Agree, NONE of this is HRT or surgery required to hold a "Trans Card". We give a lot of attention to it because most of these things are irreversable and there is an amount of risk involved.

That being said, I ran across an online post of a young transwoman who claimed she has 8 FFS surgeries and was going for another and...well, good for her I guess, hope she finds a place where she feels whole.

So, I am basically happy as the woman I am. I have been on hrt for 2 and half years and I am please with my results. My problem is my genitals because of neck surgery in March, and the pain and the pain meds, everything was a mess. I don't want to put myself through all of that again with a vaginaplasty. I thought of an orchiectomy but that brought on such dysphoria as I had never before experienced with my genitals. My latest reframing (a CBT tool) had went out the window. But eh ship has righted itself with itself by its own technique as before with an addition. "So who put that there," like as a bad mistake,

I'm alright as long as the people around me are not talking about a vaginoplasty, Funny that I should start a topic where such discussion is bound to happen.

We do all need are own separate compass to guide are transition goals

I agree! I decided to go to work in a factory just to raise the funds to cover my future treatments.  It will be years until I save enough to have all of the surgeries that I hope to have.  I will be close to 80 before I am done.

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.
