There are still some progressives at-large in the "heartland," it seems.  We'll see what kind of backlash results.

Considering that I just saw another piece on my news feed about people getting a bit mixed up over the surgeries done to Intersex children for years and Trans children I am just shaking my head over our "sexual education" systems.  I support the idea that children with ambiguous genitalia at birth should NOT be surgically assigned to a binary gender upon first sight, and should wait until the child is able to take part in the decision.  The whole thing is becoming so badly conflated and confused that even good, supportive people are going to be saying that yes is no.  I hope that as part of the enforcement of this order here that an education program is instituted to get good and accurate information out to the general population in their community.

It is certainly good to see some rational discourse on this matter.  

Intersex issues will certainly get caught up in these debates and hopefully the individuals rather than the doctor or parents will be able to make their own decisions.   Lord help them if the state gets involved!
