Pits be bald

So I decided it’s time for the first time since puberty I shaved my pits and it feels amazing why didn’t I do this sooner! I also decided to shave my forearms which is very noticeable I am not out so it’s a big step and I expect my arms to get noticed but it is what it is and I’ll cross that bridge when I get there, re growth is fairly quick as in next day so I am thinking about waxing next but I intend to stay hairfree there at least until the summer where I’ll probably be topless pits are not as easy to explain away lol

Clara,

Being hair free is liberating and I applaud your decision to free yourself.  Obviously, my motivation for shaving my body (and yours as well, I assume) is to look and feel more feminine, but I don't hide my legs, arms or my underarms when I'm presenting as male, because when my male persona is hair free it can be justified as a hygiene choice.  Being free of body hair isn't just a woman's prerogative. I say be proud of your hairlessness, whether presenting as male or female.

If someone needs an explanation they have better things to do with their time, like picking their noses.  Mostly NO ONE ever will ask you unless they are a deliberate social donkey and even they do not have that good an eyesight and are well known by the hay hanging off their lips.

Why bother trying to explain - my explanations never stopped people judging me (as being gay).  The most important thing is to be true to yourself.

PS.  I was also judged for being effeminate, sitting down to pee, crossing my legs like a woman, not having a GF, saying no or ignoring women who made advances on me, and many other things that aren't considered masculine habits/choices.

Thank you so much! it’s actually my dad who will judge the man is my hero but he just doesn’t get people like me

I appreciate that I really do thank you no one has noticed me wearing ladies deodorant so that’s a win lol

Iv always sat down to pee no idea why it’s just something i do I’m not effeminate but that’s 35 years of hiding who I really am so I want to voice train and learn to present more feminine when I’m in girl mode x

I have to say I freaked out more the first time I had shaved underarms than when I had shaved legs!

Somehow it seemed more affirming of my femininity...that removing the hair and having smooth armpits was the moment I looked at myself and went...yup...girly!

I'm weird I know...:)

have shaved the pits.  But don't do it regularly.  My body hair isn't all that thick anyway.  I don't think I'll do it again.

There are cis women that don't (my ex) and I always thought it was kinda sexy.  I'm a bit weird myself.

There are more dire things to worry about . . . but until then, LIVE A LITTLE!

I have never shaved my pits.

The effect on my body hair was one of the nicer surprises of HRT.  My body went from not-very-hair to completely hairless.  I have a little bit of peach fuzz on my lower legs and lower arms.  My pubic hair changed from male-patter to female-pattern.  And my armpits went from typical-male to quite-plausible-female.

Lots of women don't shave, so I don't feel any pressure to do so.  I am no hairier than they are.

Kathy, don't rub it in.  The one reason I would consider starting HRT is the body hair thing.  And if it fixed the facial hair issue, I probably would have started long ago.  Ultimately, I'm fortunate in that my body hair isn't particularly heavy, so shaving isn't such a big chore.

I’m lucky not to have much body hair, however what I do have is shaved regularly. I will be looking for more permanent avenues soon. Chest and lower back hair has to be removed permanently, and I can deal with pits, legs, and face.

Yep.  That was true for me as well, and one of the lesser reasons I chose to begin HRT (the major reason, which has proven to be so very helpful, was to reduce my dysphoria and mental anguish to near-zero).  Three-plus years of HRT, and these days I can easily go many weeks without the need to shave my legs.  Facial hair is not changed, unfortunately, but body hair is much reduced in growth rate, and electrolysis to remove body hair in areas such as boobs and chest is pretty much done.

Other related HRT changes have been pleasant, as well. My skin is much software, and body hair, when it grows visible, has changed from fast-growing, thick and black to slow-growing, much thinner and more downy.

Growing up in a female body, I never bothered to shave armpits or legs or anything else.  Just seemed unnecessary.  I never felt obligated to change my body to suit others.  I got waxed once...just once...and wondered why people endured the pain.  🙄  Perhaps I'm...blessed....my fur grows thin and fine and soft.  And since I'm moving away from femininity, I've got even less reason to care what others think about it.  It makes me more passable in my boy form.

Hi @Clara Dreamscape

I love to shave my pits too.  Very liberating.  I don't do it often, but I do use an electric razor to keep the pit hair consistently short.  I find I need less underarm deodorant and I can easily wipe the excess so it doesn't stain my shirts/blouses.

I have shaved my arms a couple of times, mostly in the winter when I can wear long sleeves to cover them when out.  But the reason I shave them is to use my home IPL laser.  Using the IPL has definitely reduced/thinned my arm hair (and also eliminated almost all my other body/leg hair).  So now I don't need to shave my arms, just occasionally trim the hair with the electric razor.

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.
