What TV shows did you like when you were growing up?

I was a Flintstones and Jonny Quest fan and Star Trek and Then Came Bronson and The Mod Squad (always wanted to be Peggy Lipton).

A list too long to mention.  Cartoons, "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color", Saturday morning monster movies, Bozo the Clown, Engineer Bill's "Cartoon Express," and the "Shari Lewis Show" with her hand puppets, among my early favorites.

 

I got much more sophisticated later on, with shows like "My Mother the Car," "Mr. Ed," and "Gilligan's Island."

 

Yes, I was a strange kid.

I loved all of those as well as Captain Kangaroo and Tom Terrific and his mighty dog Manfred. And even Romper Room.

A possibly true factoid: I was told by my parents that my brother and I made an appearance on "The Howdy Doody Show" when we were 3 & 5 years old.  That would have been 1957-58.  Never saw proof of that, however.

@Carolyn Marie I have the picture from 1959 when I was on a kids quiz show called Quiz Down where they invited local School Districts to field teams of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders to compete for audio visual equipment for the grade schools, I was on the 5th grade duo for my school.  It was my first TV appearance and got me hooked on being in front of a camera as we all know about.  I can share it via PM but not here, since even though the kids are now my age or older, they were much younger, and it has my kid name on the picture.

I grew up on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Ninjago. Earlier in my childhood I had Dinosaur Train and Mr. Rogers. All great shows

Batman left a lasting impression, but I think it was because it was the first TV show I saw in color.  My favorites though, were Star Trek and Space 1999.  I also really loved the Andy Williams show and the Carol Burnett show.  In fact, it's too bad variety shows have lost their appeal.

I remember them running those old 3 Stooge and the Our Gang shorts on the afternoon kids shows.  I still think they're cool.

My dad was a big Parry Mason fan, so I saw a lot of that kind of stuff.  And lots of westerns of course.

 

When I was older I had a crush on agent 99 on Get Smart.

Right there with you Katie, and my desire to be Agent 99 grew even stronger after Anne Hathaway got the movie role.

Always a Star Trek fan, and I grew up with TOS, TNG, and DS9.  Enterprise came along when I was a teenager, and I enjoy the recent series that are being produced.

Bump in the Night is a 90s claymation cartoon. I got my avatar from one of the characters in that show.

 

Raven from the original Teen Titans show was definitely an early gender envy of mine.

I enjoyed all the Star Trek iterations as well. My favorite was Voyager, and of course I envied Seven of Nine and wanted to be her.
