when is it too early to seek consult for BA?

Recommended Posts

ladies

I'm pre hrt..n I know that adds 2 years before BA, but I want to plan it n be ready..do everything to make my skin right etc

so I wondered about going for a consult for BA now, to start my plans.

when is it too early?

am I simply being ridiculous here?

your wisdom as always, welcomed

A consultation at any point in the process will certainly do no harm.  That said, I don't think the consult will result in a lot of specific advice or planning, as the doctor will not have any breast tissue growth to evaluate in terms of what procedures will be necessary or what your options might be.  So perhaps waiting would be more beneficial.

Hi Missyjo,

HRT can have such a significant impact that you may not need BA. Do you have female siblings? That seems to be a guide. Both mine have large breasts and, guess what, mine have gone huge to DD without any breast augmentation. So definitely hold off from BA until you see what happens with the HRT. You may be in for a pleasant surprise.

When I started using breast pumps about a year into transitioning I got a ticking off from my gender clinic. You need to be careful because they can cause tissue damage. Again, I'd say give the HRT a chance to set to work and then if you do use a breast pump, check first with your medic and if they say it's okay, keep the settings really low to start with however tempting (and titillating!!!) it is to do otherwise.

Just my take! Good luck. xx

thank you Tilly. I figured I'm not truly 20s so hrt will have limited effect. no sisters but mom is busty, so maybe hrt would help, maybe even partially.

thank you

According to a book I was reading about transgender is they recommend waiting a year after HRT. I have tried to get information from all over as long as it's credible.

I never took HRT because I produce my own estrogen, but I agree that if your family is well endowed you should have similar results based off your genetics. All the women on my father's side are large breasted, and I am the smallest at an E cup pushing an F.

"When" you get them in my case is rather baffling. I obtained B cups most of my adult life that slowly progressed to C cups. I believe it was that my testosterone levels dropped enough to allow the estrogen to do its work that sent me into the late in life growth spree. So HRT on testosterone blockers should do the same thing?

I remember from my teens that growth was slow, I spent about 3 years growing breasts. Patience is a virtue 😉
