My therapist wasn’t there today.

So today was supposed to be my therapy session. I was really looking forward to seeing her. I got up early, got my shower, shaved, did my makeup, and put on a brand new dress I had been saving for someplace special. I even was 30 minutes early so I wouldn’t be late. I did everything right, but she wasn’t in her office today. Normally I wouldn’t have minded if they would have called me to let me know, that’s what I’m supposed to do, right?  Isn’t that a bit unprofessional to not inform the client that you won’t be there. Oh well, I guess that’s how it goes. It wasn’t a total waste, I was able to get dressed and put on my makeup and look good. It got me out of the tee and leggings I lived in over the last two days. It would have been nice to see her because over the last two weeks I haven’t been doing well. I have another appointment with her in two weeks. If she doesn’t call to cancel when she can’t be there the next time, time for a new therapist. Anyway, I think I looked hood today. That was a plus’s and really made me feel better even if only a little bit.

I'm sorry your therapist wasn't in today, but you did the right thing getting all dressed up for yourself not them.

You look wonderful, Holly!!! And, yes, it was very unprofessional for your therapist's staff not to call you to let you know she wouldn't be there. As Mindy said though, sometimes we just need to get dresses up for ourselves.

Im glad you have a positive takeaway about the experience.  But I’m mad she wasn’t there.  Hopefully just a flake and nothing bad happened to them.  

It took me a few years and a couple bad fit counselors just to get to the one who has helped me through the medical transition with letters and support. 

Don’t lose your positive attitude please.

hey holly you should report her. Unless  she was involve in something serious there not excuse and totally inappropriate,

I mean DID SHE EVEN CALL to explain, apologize or anything.

Cause is she didn't then report her to BBB and Medical board.

So sorry you had to go through all that
