Gemmas four holidays

Hi folks, Gemma reporting. I am from the UK, a small town.  I'll just tell my story right?

Lets start in the middle, a series of events which happened within a few years or there about.

Holiday 1. I went on holiday to Portugal with some straight guys from work and somehow ended up with a "night working lady" and did my thing, that was my first time and the guys knew it.  I really didn't have a great time but went through the motions and came out questioning my sexuality, yeah, not so straight after all.

Holiday 2. A year later I went on holiday with two gay guys from work, a couple, to Benidorm and had a great time, I ended up in a threesome with them. Yep that works but its not really me.  I felt like I was in their world but not a part of it.  Being a gay man was great in some ways, but I felt like I was an imposter.

Ten years earlier, I had tried to transition in Uni many years earlier but beyond cross dressing a few times some in public but I had chickened out.  Basically It seemed to be a massive hill to climb and I was worried about my career and passing the degree so went back to myself.  But this has always been on my mind since early school.

So about a year after my Benidorm revelations, I started transitioning again, told, everyone I knew and was proud as punch.  30k gbp and a couple of years later, bang Gemma was born, ready for the world.  I have never been so happy with myself.  Being human I still have lots of issues but none are related to being a woman or having not started out that way.

Its the end of lunch so part two and the other two holidays will have to wait.  Laters.

Welcome Gemma.  I'm glad you have joined us here.  Do you have support either professional or fro friends on that side of the pond?  In the meantime we are here to support each other.

It certainly sounds like your holidays have been helpful in finding yourself.

Hugs,

Charlize

Hi Charlize, That is a very good question and No I don't, maybe.  I believe it's all my own fault.

Holiday 3.  The third holiday of this tail was on a lesbian holiday in Greece.  I went with a trans woman I met in a club in the UK.  We had been seeing other for a long time before the holiday and we had a great time.  When we returned things kind of broke down and we ended up splitting up.  I won't go into details but she was beautiful and rekindled my attraction to women.  I now consider my self a Bi woman and probably always will

Holiday 4.  I moved in with a Male friend from work just as a house share flatmate type situation at first and then we started dating, it turns out we both were both mad for each other. we have been a couple for over ten years now and got a civil partnership dues to his anti marriage stance, go him.  He thinks marriage and its implied ownership of the woman is a bad thing, we are partners not property.  Go him.

I'll start another thread about my current issues and questions and keep this a pure introduction.  Hopefully I can provide some longer term feedback which hopefully will be a source of inspiration and maybe help for the folk yet to embark on their journeys.  None of this is easy and so far I have skipped all the bad bits.  Maybe they will come out as I settle in.

My fourth holiday is the rest of my life since completing my transition I got all the surgeries done and got on with my life, I was on holiday with my partner, his son and him mother and though just how lucky I was to be able to make this change in my life.  I was on holiday with someone I truly love with my new family and it was great.  My family is also very much supportive and no one ever even mentions my old self at all ever.

I'll post why this is an issue in the coming out forum.

Hello Gemma,

I just wanted to welcome you, especially as I am also in the UK.  I am pretty new here myself, but the people here have been wonderful and welcoming, and you'll find a great breadth of knowledge and experience here, so I hope you can use that to your full advantage!

Welcome again!

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.

I really don't think that's a good idea. The unity of the LGB and T community is historic and has been central for both groups rights. And the vast majority of people advocating for splitting the two are transphobic LGB's who are broadly condemned by the community anyway.

Congratulations, and best wishes as you move forward.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

A bit late in updating, but I've had the draft of the official diagnosis and have (as yet unconfirmed) an endo consultation next month.   Next to arrive will be the supporting documentation for my new passport application for my correct gender.  This will then be my official ID for all the other updates - bank, tax, payroll etc.   It just feels good to to be proactive again rather than waiting for other people to move at a leisurely pace.

I like ELF brand cosmetics, I can pick them up at JC Penny.    I wear makeup everyday, but mostly just very light makeup.

Hello & welcome, @Ali_Genderlfuid! Look forward to learning more about you.

Hi Mae Be, whenever it comes to makeup, there are so many different bands to choose from. Picking out the right makeup comes with trial and error, until you find one that works for you and blends well with your skin tone, some makeup products can leave the skin feeling oily. It's a good idea to look at the labels on the makeup product to know what the creators put in the makeup, just in case skin allergies. Once you found the makeup brand, you can add it to your shopping list, good luck

Cool! Your username is pretty cool, sir. (Do I call you sir? Mister? Mx? Please tell me)

To be fair I’m pretty lost when it comes to makeup technique. I’ve watched videos, but I have no idea what works for or would help my features. So I just bungle along, hoping I don’t look terrible.
