hi all, and thanks for having me. my username (and indeed my title of this post) is a reffrence to the ancient underwater city- I have a big interest in any type of mythology, but mainly greek. 

 

well, you can all call me emily if you like. I am from the UK, and I joined this forum because.. well,, I don't have anyone. I was abused growing up, and the abuse has left a lasting impact on me both physically and emotionally. due to issues with pain, and with daily tasks, what I wanted for my life, and what I have in my life now, well they are 2 diferent things. I saw you have a health section on here, so I'll be using that.

 

I don't really know what else to say.. I'm quite shy about talking to people and creating threads. I said I like mythology, I also like listening to music, romance novels, comedy shows, soap operas..

 

I am hoping in time I will share more about myself and my questions, (I have loads of questions)

 

for now I think the best thing for me to do is brouze around and join in where I feel it appropriate

Second, I am sorry for the abuse you endured growing up; that is a common thing among many of us, unfortunately.  But we are survivors, and a resilient bunch, and we rarely give up trying to survive and thrive.  We will do our very best to help you do just that.

Hi Emily, It’s a pleasure to meet you. Many of us here are shy but once you get a few more posts under your proverbial belt, it may become second nature. This forum is probably one of the most open and nonjudgmental forums in our community. Thank you for taking that first step by introducing yourself and sharing some of your interests with us. I’m also fascinated by mythology, hidden, lost or unknown archaeology and technology, and really anything related to those topics. I hope to learn more about you and your journey thus far as you become more acclimated and if you’re willing to share. Glad you found us!
