Not sure where to start, I'm currently just coming to terms with my gender identity. I would mostly identify with being a woman, but probably somewhere on the spectrum (leaning towards female). I'm 27 years old AMAB and have always had feelings of wishing I were a girl, but they would always come and go. Recently I decided to start embracing these feelings, and it feels like the dam has burst. I am looking forward to exploring this side of me, but also terrified. I'm married to a cis women, who does not know about my gender questioning. She has said in the past she's probably bisexual, and is definitely supportive of trans people......I'm just now sure how she would react to me coming out (especially since I don't really know what I identify with).

Making this post has already been anxiety inducing, so I'm going to end it here, looking forward to joining you all 😄

Welcome to Trans Pulse, Confused.  Thank you for your introduction.  It's natural and common to feel a mix of exhilaration, fear, anxiety and hopefulness at this stage of the "game," or journey.  You're in good company here, and we do understand.  Please look around, get your feet wet with a few posts, see how things go, and most importantly, ask questions and meet our lovely members.

HUGS

Welcome to the forums!!! I think you'll find that most of us have experienced the same anxieties and fears - and many are still experiencing them - so you are definitely not alone. And, you'll find people across the spectrum of discovering their identity from just starting, to less than a year into the journey, to fully transitioned. You'll find a lot of tremendously useful information, and many, many wonderful people here. Join in where you feel comfortable, ask questions if you have them. We're here to help.

Hi and welcome, it sounds like your partner may be in a good position to be accepting.  Obviously I have no way of knowing.  Have a read around and ask questions, sounds like you are in the right place.

Welcome Ms Confused.   I was one of those who had waves of feeling feminine come and go.  Being open and honest here as well seeing a therapist has helped me accept my feelings.

We are here to help as we can.  You are not alone!

Hugs,

Charlize

There is no need to make quick decisions. I lived in denial for over 10 years and I do wished I started earlier but then I wouldn't have my two beautiful boys. Talking to a gender therapist is definitely the way to go. They can help navigate you where you are. I didn't need one. I didn't get one till just now. I'm still new to transitioning because I'm only five months into HRT. It sounds promising that she won't leave you. That's one thing that I definitely wished I had. Support is huge in the process but just remember others around you are going through a path they didn't know about but you need to live for you and no one else! Other people can just up and leave you alone and act like you are no one. It's you that gets yourself up out of bed every morning to face the music. Take care.

I'm a masculine woman. It's not about masculinity though. It's about expanding what it means to be a woman.

It never rains but it pours.  We had a dry spring, but now my garden is a swamp and my yard is a pond.  Get off the gravel road, and you'd need a hovercraft.    With nothing better to do, I'm going on a short trip with my husband tomorrow.  Since he's in management he usually doesn't do this sort of work, but whenever he does I usually go along.  And he already knows not to try staying in a hotel, because I want to sleep in the bunk in the truck.  So much more cozy.    And for a couple of days, GF can actually take care of her own kids instead of leaving them to me....

I have played clarinet, but without talent.  And while I *can* sing, I think listening to it would be an acquired taste.

Something that would help is reducing salt intake which causes the body to hold water and causes inflammation, another thing would be to add cardio to your exercise routine. Lowering your overall body fat will affect your face appearance. Hope this helps :)

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.
