I was helping my mom (who's a quilter) put up some displays at the local art gallery for her quilt guild. I was working with one of the guild members and she called me a "he"!

...and then she corrected herself because my mom still uses she/her pronouns for me and I'm too anxious to correct her :')

But it felt nice that she did it, even by mistake. If only my mom would stop using she/her pronouns so it'd stick :((

It sure makes a person feel 'complete' when addressed properly.

It really does :D

Only my friends really call me anything but "she". My mom occasionally uses they/them, but very rarely, and only in the occasional public space (she uses it at the place where I get pierced, for example). Still, having people that do it feels nice, and for some reason having strangers do it feels the best.

My neighbor did his best I suppose by calling me 'she/he' today. I can appreciate the effort.

Strangely he asked, "where do you get a good fitting bra?"

He went on to say he was diagnosed with gynecomastia (male breast tissue) and would like to try a bra.

I of course told him Torrid was a great place, but he's embarrassed to go. He figured with my chest size I would know enough to help him out (48DDD).

Out came my measuring tape, and his starting point as a 54B. Told him that it's just a starting point so only buy one bra to try it first. Underwire because he's wide rooted and need to bring them in, etc...

He'll order one from Walmart.
