Republican Congressman: Pass National Sports Ban To Make Trans People Detransition

If you think living in a "Blue State" will keep you safe, think again.  Congress is taking it up now.  And like in the states, they are starting with sports.

 

Apparently detransitioning us all is the goal.

 

 “I sometimes wonder if we normalize the idea of guys playing in women’s sports, are you kind of wondering if we are creating a system which would be tragic if it is true, that some of these guys will never switch back?”

 

"“I think it would have been too bad if they would have been one of the 80 or 90% who snap back, but because of this, they won’t.” 

 

So… 80 to 90% of us will detransition (snap back) unless we're eradicated first?  Either outcome is satisfactory.

 

"Sarah Perry stated, “Playing on a team that you want specifically for your gender identity, not based on sex, is an entry into ultimate medical transitioning and gender identarian surgery.”"

 

The point is to encourage detransition by making trans people's lives intolerable.

If he and his cohorts think that most, or all, trans people transition just to play one sport or another, he's a bigger fool than he looks.  Trans youth transition because they need to; they play sports because they like it and its fun, not because they think they're going to "cheat" anyone.

^^^ This ^^^  Well, at least I hope youth are playing sports because its fun.  It sucks if parents and coaches make it all about winning, or preparing to play professionally.  In my opinion, anybody who thinks we need a national law about sports participation has no idea what good sportsmanship looks like or the real purpose of sports.  Are we preparing for the 1936 Olympics or something?

It is a well-known truism that honest people assume others are honest and dishonest people assume that others are dishonest.  So if the congressman assumes trans athletes are out to cheat the system, ...  Just sayin'!

There is a Little League Baseball field with inadequate parking down at the end of my block so just about every inch of parking space in front of my house is taken during the ball season.  Over the years I have had to call local Sheriff's department about some child abuse issues that have occurred literally on my front lawn over how the kid played in a game, as well as a couple of adult to adult assault issues.  I think some of that was why my kids did not want to play baseball.  My own experience with the game back in my early teens also kept me from having fun at it.
