I hope everyone is doing well. Little ole me jut wanted to say hi to you all and introduce myself. So here it goes y’all,  first off my story Sounds a lot like everybody else’s. Growing up in the deep south here can be kind of difficult. I mean I grew up in the country y’all. I remember around the age of 5 years old. I would watch action movies, and acting them out I always wanted to be the damsel in distress. She was the one that I wanted to mimic and then of course, all through my childhood years I had my sister and my mother who I would secretly swipe their clothes and try to find some alone  time. So for the most part around here, I acted my role, but I had to hide myself, and it affected me pretty much, my whole life through all my relationships, some understanding, and some not so much, but it’s finally good to find a place to where I can share my self a little bit without being scared of somebody judging me. all I wanted from life is to be happy that’s what all of us want and thank you all that have taken the time to read my small bio.

Sincerely

Jamie Lynn

Hi Jamie Lynn! Welcome to the forums! I am hopeful you will find the wealth of support and resources here helpful to you.... this is indeed a safe and judgment-free space for self-expression and sharing. I am sure many relate to the themes you talk about, myself included. Like you, I spent was countless years pretending to be a cisgender man and honestly being pretty bad at it. Know why? Actually a woman! I hope you have supportive people around you as you start out on your transition journey.

See you around! ❤️

Love,

~Audrey.

Welcome to TransPulseForums Jamielynn,

I grew up in rural Missouri Southwest of St. Louis. Like you I knew at a young age that I was different. I didn’t come out until very late in life and when I did it’s an understatement to say it went horribly. That was several years ago and things have settled way down, my marriage is moving forward. (47 years)

Best wishes, stay positive and motivated,

I love the outdoors but lately I have enjoyed staying inside learning to cook and keep house and have taken up soap making. I really enjoy that.

Is it easy to make soap? I have heard of people making it but I never did the research for it. I was originally from Harmontown, MS near Oxford. Which has maybe 120 people. It's way out in the country. It takes 30-40 minutes to get to town.

I do cold process. You have to combine all your oils at around 100 degrees and then add your lye at the same temperature together and mix well and fast to a light trace. I love adding the colors and fragrance and then making the designs in it. FUN FUN

Interesting. Sounds like a challenge.
