I have been to Trans Health conferences on that college campus before the Pandemic days.  It is a 3 hour road trip for me, but the conferences have been fun to attend.  The attendance ratio of Drag to Anti-trans is about what I would have expected.  The town around the school is rural aggie, but since it is a polytechnical state college the townfolk tolerate the diversity, also a major Army Base is nearby to make the place even livelier.  I almost would like to know what the "real truth" they were going to tell the H8 audience,  but I doubt it was really anything new.

This a good example of the complex demographics of the state of California.  In a matter of minutes you can drive through a liberal and accepting community right into the heart of intolerance.

I think it is good for University to allow a certain level of free-speech (as long as it doesn't cross into hate-speech or violence) - and it appears it gave the opposition to bring in an even larger crowd (300 vs 100).

 

but wrt the De-transitioners who have used that label to elevate themselves into the public spotlight (I don't want to repeat their names).
WHAT IF -- they had never been allowed to Transition in the first place.  They would have never known or been able to explore their identity ... and they also could not promote the label "De-transitoner", and they would just go about living an unhappy life and wondering "Why?"
