Laser Hair Removal

Hi,

 

I'm sorry if this is TMI, but hoping someone has some info.

 

I'm getting some laser treatment and thinking of asking if they would do the area "down below" for possible SRS in the future, but this surgery would be at least maybe a couple years out,  probably more. Would it be good to just laser away hair in the whole area or would that somehow cause a problem for surgery down the road? Like hairs that supposedly disappear, but the hair cells survive and produce hair like a year later or after surgery. I haven't spoken with any surgeon or their office yet, so I don't know.

Hi there, I can share from my experience preparing for vaginoplasty.

 

Your surgeon will provide you with a map (so to speak) of the area to be treated. It is very important that you know whether your surgeon will accept laser hair removal or will insist on electrolysis, as it is nearly impossible to treat hairs after surgery. It is also important to know that laser works the best on light colored skin and dark colored hairs. Other hair and skin types do not work as well.
