"the doctors have determined you to be male."

Yet they have the gall to call themselves doctors.

I told the psychiatrist that I have a uterus just like she does (I'm intersex), her response, "the doctors have determined you to be male."

I exist, and regardless of what someone in Texas says, I still exist. It is mind over matter. It is my mind and they do not matter. Texas and Florida are part of my "do not consider" list of places I will not work. I get recruiters trying to get me to take jobs in these states all of the time. When Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, and a few other states run out of teachers, physicians, nurses, PAs, and NPs, maybe they can go to the knowledgeable legislator who spewed enough hate, and ask for them to legislate their illness for them.

I refuse to buy products made in, or from companies based in, the hate states, including Florida, Texas, and now Ohio. I encourage others to do the same.

I have yet another question! On your journey, what did self acceptance look like for you and when did you experience it? How has it made a difference in who you are today? I know that’s more than one question and I really don’t mean to pry into anything that is none of my business, but I am curious.

@LC it took 32 years to finally accept who I was. There are still sometimes when I wished I would just wake up as a female and this nightmare of gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia would end. I wished I came to terms earlier like two years ago so I would be further into transition. It was a big burden to lift off my shoulders to finally come out even though it came at a very heavy price. Majority of the family left going through a third divorce. Now I still face other things like mentioned previously. It's not something to be weak minded about. It takes a strong person. There are many suicides in fact studies have shown that transgender have more suicides. Transgender People Twice As Likely To Die As Cisgender People, Study Finds (forbes.com)

It has lifted some burden but I face different monsters. It takes more than just hormones and therapy. It takes time to become better and even after surgeries some still don't get healed from their issues. Everyone faces different issues and walks of life. Some have support from their families and some get kicked out of their home and they are disowned. Being a combat war veteran If face multiple issues. I wished it was just transgender issues but it's far more than that. My mind is so messed up. Would I do it again? Yes I would and just face the issues. My love to my country outweighs a lot. I can say that I did my part to help defend the country.

A bit late in updating, but I've had the draft of the official diagnosis and have (as yet unconfirmed) an endo consultation next month.   Next to arrive will be the supporting documentation for my new passport application for my correct gender.  This will then be my official ID for all the other updates - bank, tax, payroll etc.   It just feels good to to be proactive again rather than waiting for other people to move at a leisurely pace.

I like ELF brand cosmetics, I can pick them up at JC Penny.    I wear makeup everyday, but mostly just very light makeup.

Hi Mae Be, whenever it comes to makeup, there are so many different bands to choose from. Picking out the right makeup comes with trial and error, until you find one that works for you and blends well with your skin tone, some makeup products can leave the skin feeling oily. It's a good idea to look at the labels on the makeup product to know what the creators put in the makeup, just in case skin allergies. Once you found the makeup brand, you can add it to your shopping list, good luck

To be fair I’m pretty lost when it comes to makeup technique. I’ve watched videos, but I have no idea what works for or would help my features. So I just bungle along, hoping I don’t look terrible.
