Thank you for an updated article and new thread @Carolyn Marie.  It's an important story for hopefully more positive outcomes when the politicians listen to the parents and the professionals.  I recall viewing some of testimony and it was powerful.  Example below -

The GOP reactions are so strongly uninformed.  Claiming to have “caved into cowardice and caved to the transgender industry that is preying on so many vulnerable individuals.” is simply absurd.  It makes me think of smokestacks working away was we accept ourselves and quietly live our lives.

Politics so rarely mirrors reality.

We're less than 1% of the population.  It's amazing how much of a threat we are, and how politically powerful.  Somebody needs a reality check here.

Haters need an enemy du jour to focus their anger, and certain groups meet that "need."  We are now part of that enemies list; the fact that such targeted groups are so small is not an accident.
