HRT n Epilepsy

Ladies

does anyone have suggestions??

 

seems no surgeries until hrt is stable n hrt estrogen causes seizures...to most this is remote but if you live with epilepsy a seizures temporarily screws up your life n makes you prone to more..so you avoid them like the plagues

 

.a seizure means wakevup in hospital not knowing where you are, what day it is, what embaressing things you did, did anyone get hurt more than this? did you fall n break anything? how many months of trial n error before your meds are readjusted..n you of course can't drive  car anymore..fir starters..

 

so does anyone know of hrt specialists or estrogen synthetic that doesn't cause seizures or anything to help here?

Also, while not real close Fenway Health in Boston has an excellent record on TG Pharmacology, and they do some out of state counseling as well.

I am under care of a neurologist for stroke, migraines and seizures. The only concern to the neurologist was estrogen causing another stroke. He didn’t say anything about the seizure risk. Of course I am not diagnosed as epileptic, having one seizure in my life as a result of a very rare side effect of a general anesthetic (propofol) in the hospital so this may not be true for you. In your case, you really should speak with your neurologist to discuss the risks of it and possibly needing a med adjustment. And definitely bring it up to whoever you are getting your hormones prescribed by. Maybe it will be as simple as using a reduced blood level of estradiol. In my case the neurologist said to keep my estradiol levels as low as possible while achieving the desired results.
