Will an IUD make me stop feeling sick over the idea pregnancy?

I think my gender dysphoria is getting better, or at least it's better than it was a few months ago now. I still get these moments every few days where i hate myself, my body and that I'm alive. One of the most disturbing things that come with being born female is procreation, when I got my period at eleven, I guess I felt indifferent about it, but as the years went on it made me more and more angry. It was a constant reminder that I could get pregnant. I don't have my period anymore, but I can still get pregnant, and it makes me so disgusted its terrible. 

 

I've been thinking about getting an IUD, yes going to the gynecologist and having it put in will be hell on earth and just another reminder of what I am, but I am obsessive and can't get this out of my head. I want to go in with a scalpel and remove everything that makes me female. I figured if I have that in me then It will be like I'm a cis guy basically and just like them I can't get pregnant, I can just pretend. 

 

I don't know, I just want to feel right and normal.

You have no idea what I would do to be able to have that. Being a father is nice and all but knowing that, that baby grew inside of me would be an irreplaceable feeling. I can imagine that the cramping periods aren't something to write home about and then eventually menopause but I would gladly take it.

Talk to your doctor who is prescribing your medications that have stopped your periods about whether it will help you the way you want it to.  It may help you to have the IUD as a placebo effect for your Dysphoria as much as for the actual pregnancy  prevention.  There are also a few other procedures that actually BLOCK your Fallopian tubes that would help as well.
