My introduction.

Hi everyone. I used to use a different forum called Susan's Place. I kind of ran my course on there and decided it was time for a new forum.

My gender never lined up with my physical sex. Every day I ask myself why society assigns gender based on physical sex. There are plenty of biological males in the world that are feminine. There are also plenty of biological females in the world who are masculine. These males or females may not necessarily be transgender but they are out there. 

Does anyone else have question like these too?

There are a lot of people here that use to be on Susan's Place. As for having questions about gender and gender roles... Most of us are with you on that. I have know since I was a preteen that I was different, and it wasn't until the 1970 that I started seeing other people like me. Still I waited until I was in my middle sixties to do anything about it.

Welcome to TGP!! I think you'll find many of us with questions like that, wondering why society insists on labels and succinct definitions when reality is much different and demands more ambiguity.

 

Of course, what else would we have to talk about if the world was as it should be? 🙂

 

Truly, it's good that you found us and I look forward to getting to know you. I began my journey even later than Mindy and am just a year into discovery. What a rollercoaster ride it's been.

Welcome and I'm glad you found us. I too have tried other forums, and this is my favorite by far! I have known before I even knew what it was called 32 years ago. I'm still new in transitioning. I started HRT on May 24 last year. It has been a lot of emotions. Mostly good though. I'm only 39 and looking forward to the big 4-0 this year! I have plenty of time left. Well, if you ever need to message someone, I'm on here quite a bit. Take care!

Welcome, @ReturningMoon! Glad you found us. Yes, I sometimes wonder whether every cis male or female would ID as such if gender diversity were more accepted as the actuality.

That's so funny @April Marie. Just this morning my guru said on his livestream that if life were filled with nothing but joy it would be spiritually boring, lol. Also, we would all be like mushy babies, never growing or evolving.

That's so funny @April Marie. Just this morning my guru said on his livestream that if life were filled with nothing but joy it would be spiritually boring, lol. Also, we would all be like mushy babies, never growing or evolving. 

That is just so very true. I’ve been in many leadership positions over the years and I always told the people I led that facing adversity in our lives doesn’t define us - we all face adversity. It is what we do in the face of adversity that defines us.

I've never been on Susan's, though I know some of our Members have - but I do believe you will really appreciate this Forum and the Members here.

Thank you for sharing your perspective.  I believe our Gender is eternally fluid, not defined by society, and it's up to discover who we really are in this lifetime.  I assume that is part of your Journey too.  Looking forward to hearing more from you.

glad you came. There are a lot of great people here who used to be on Susan's and now we have the joy of their presence and now we have another.
