Thank you for posting this Carolyn. This is a great article advocating for the kids. We can only hope that sooner or later, more folks will understand why withholding this treatment to these kids is so wrong and hateful.

?Hopoefully more folks will see this honest supportive statement than the recent declarations of the pope\.  The right wings persecution has brought about the need for this poor doctor to fear to be out in the open.  How can there be so many, "without sin", willing to throw that first stone.  

I'm glad that this paper printed such a positive story when confronted by such negativity.

That was such a clear and concise (and non-political) review of the importance of gender affirming care -- in particular targeted toward pre/post puberty youth, but as you all know ... it could apply to all of us.

The research he referenced said 94% remained in their new gender identity.  The rest de/re-transitioned but many of those became non-binary.  Only 2.5% fully de-transitioned back to their gender identity at birth.  That is a wide gap to what the right wing media, de-transition 'spokes-people' and conservative politicians report.
