I'll go first.  My favorite team is the Yankees.  Loved them since I was a kid.  I was born in NYC so, yeah.  I know everyone loves to hate them, and that's OK.  I just love baseball in general.  It's a game of traditions, strategy, power, grace and skill.

Play Ball!!

"Play Ball! Batter Up!" is the closing line of the National Anthem as far as I'm concerned.

It's the call of the Home Plate Umpire and signals the start of the game. I grew up in the TV and Radio broadcast of the St. Louis Cardinals. Harry Caray, Jack Buck, Tim McCarver, and Mike Shannon, were the voices on my transistor radio. KMOX 1120 AM pushing 50,000 watts of Class A clear-channel non-directional signal. It could be picked up all across MO, IL, IN to the East. KS, OK, CO to the West. IA, MN to the North, and KY, TN, AR to the South. There has always been a rivalry against the Chicago Cubs, in the National League. As for the American League, I have to pull for the Kansas City Royals. I've also been a Little League Umpire, and fan of everything the Little League stands for. Going to Williamsport, PA and seeing the Little League World Series is in my top 10 things to do on my bucket list.

Go Cleveland Guardians!  I love baseball and I loved playing it when I was younger.

I used to follow baseball and the team I would cheer for is Boston Red Sox. My favorite player was Papi. He was an awesome guy and even held a child during the National Anthem. I haven't watched baseball for a long time. It just died off to me.

Padres!

I was at opening day yesterday and had so much fun.

My favorite part though was when some ladies noticed that the zipper on my sling bag was partly open and let me know. They tutored me on how to properly position it like a lady so nobody can steal things out of it. They were only slightly surprised when I said "Thank you so much! I really need a mentor!!"

Lived in Arizona in 2001 when the Diamondbacks beat the Yankees to win the World Series. That was a lot of fun (got to be a photographer at a few of the games) ... Would love to see an MLB franchise come to North Carolina ... Followed the Mets for awhile but they can't seem to get out of their own way...

LET'S GO DOD-GERS!! 😊

😃 Nothing like the taste of a "Farmer John" hotdog  on a hot August evening out at Chavez Ravine, listening to Vin Scully on the radio to follow along 😀 Ahhh the memories, the Dodgers will always be our favorite National league team, having grown up in the area.

Over in the American league it's our home town Mariners, look forward to taking in a few games this year out at the old ball park.

Play ball !!

LOL!  Yeah, the quotes are required, as it ain't Farmer John any more.  IDK what brand it is, but they claim the taste is the same.  Color me skeptical.  🙄

I've been to one Yankee game at the new stadium, and they sell...what else, Nathan's Famous hot dogs.  It was a wonderful experience.  😀

I was a Mets fan and actually loved how crazy they were.  They sometimes were great and then turned around and lost big time.

Saying that living half way between NY and Philadelphia i've got choices.

Hugs,

Phillies for me. Have seen some good playoff games in person the last couple years and one frustrating World Series game, my elder child decided to follow them instead of the other parent's team, and now lives really close to the ballpark.

That was my memory also, @Cyndee but it was on an AM radio WAY UP in the northern parts of California, just hoping for the right atmospherics to bounce the signals my way.  Night games worked best.

So, I've never had a Dodger Dog, but that's on my Bucket List :)
