Advice For Trans Mormons Entering Lauras For The First Time...

I have given this some thought and I think this needs to be said. Hopefully an LDS Trans member will see this first before posting in the open forums.

So here I go...

1. Please go light on the dogma. Many people using these forums have been injured by religion. As I have pointed out before parents and some religions have used scare tactics to make people conform. My mother did it. Members of the church did it as well. Well meaning members. Knowing it is the one true religion does not matter here. People don't want to hear it. And if you must talk about those things where it is causing conflict please...keep it limited to this forum.

2. No matter what you think... do not come in here claiming it is a mental disorder. Or that is some sort fantasy and that the gospel will cure you. If you truly believe that you have no business being here. But I must advise you I have been there....I thought the same BS...and I woke up finally and I reconciled my true self and religious beliefs in a balanced way.

There was a time I thought I was sinning by being trans. What an eyeopener for me when I realized I could follow the doctrines of the church and still be me. And the biggest challenge is that made peace with the idea I could be excommunicated.

And that might happen some day when I get married and have the operation. But what will they excommunicate? my male records...big whoop. if you can find peace you are on the right path.

Just please... respect others and contemplate your words carefully. Interestingly enough....there is more evidence scientifically that GID is real than there is scientific evidence there is a God.
