Whoa...

dont worry, that was after a semester of weight training. i weigh 145lbs, so i was proud of what i could accomplish. i felt beastly. i hope i can get close without cheating, i want to earn it like every other girl. besides, Deeedoo may be strong, but sometimes i like to be the one doing the carrying.... dont worry, Deeedoo isnt as crazy as i am. :P

i'm gonna have to call shenanigans on boys having the higher libedo. my need for *cough* alone time :) has gone away, but i feel a huge spike of mental cravings. it never really shuts up. i dont know if other girls have had this happen, but i got a big serving of it.

Tied, blindfolded... um ooops giving way too much away

lol i was actually going to say the opposite of what skyy said: being that this whole thread is about power... well there's another way to use it. :D

LOL. i'm not really comprehending this concept, what's a mental craving, isn't it all the same thing?

My dad and I tested how much I can bench and it's randomly over 100. I don't know why...

You silly people and your attempted perverseness...I've been bothering people accidentally my whole life! Once, my grandmother showed me her nice new clothes, and I said decisively, "I'm going to take them off!" I didn't mean it the way she thought; I'm autistic, so it came out wrong. What I really wanted was to take my clothes off and put on new ones. I still remember the horrified look on her face.

 silly male. havent you figured out chicks are crazy yet. it means i really want to do it, but i dont need the physical release, just the mental bonding that comes along with it. girl brains have like 500 independant trains of thought happening at once, so thats how it became seperate in my mind.

and what deeedoo said is right, no one can beat his/her perversion. i'm not even gonna try.

I don't understand girls.

Apparently I can bench about 130 at one rep and can manage 8 or 10 reps at 115.

My shoulder hurts because I'm old.

You sure your shoulders don't hurt because that was heavy? :o OMG you can almost bench me I'm only *mumbles* slightly heavier.

My shoulder probably hurts because I got overzealous at the gym yesterday. I didn't even try to bench but I did way more seated rows than I should have.

I think what I have is something my friend calls "fat guy strength". I weigh 200 pounds. Fat fuels the muscle growth! ...maybe.

sorry guys.. I can still lift and carry twice bodyweight.. it's easier now I'm slimmer. My actual lift is about 380 lbs.. I had a lifting job as a teen.. back then I could get 300k's into the back of a van on my own. Technique.. that's the secret rather than muscles.. I'm a skinny 65k and 100k is well within my carry capabilities.. my arms tell me about it later XD

fat is fuel.. if it's in the muscles you don't see it.. if it's round your middle it's just wasted weight. info from a girl with a BMI of 15.2

I can probably carry you(at least for a short distance)! My friend is about your weight and I was able to throw her over my shoulder.

Well, I'm technically just a 14 or 15 year old. I haven't been on T for a whole year yet and only started weight training seriously about a year ago. I can lift and carry way more weight than I can do on individual exercises. To be truthful, I don't really know what my maximum capacity is because I don't push myself too hard. FTM's are at increased risk for joint and connective tissue injuries because our muscles grow too fast for the other stuff to keep up.

My fat is distributed around. There's a nice little pouch around my midsection though. According to the body fat analysis I had done at the gym, 26% of my weight is fat and the other 150 pounds is muscle, water, and skeleton. I'm not sure how accurate that is. My body fat percentage is high for a man but would've been okay for a female. Stuff is still shifting around a LOT. I'm in between. I'm also not as strong as most men my age but am way stronger than the average woman. I guess that's why it's called "transition". :)

One thing is for certain, I NEVER worked out before because I didn't care what happened to my body. Now that I am at peace with myself it is easier to be active in taking care of myself.

lmao. I'm done trying to understand the concept of mental-physical disconnect. that's like "im really hungry, I keep thinking about food... but my stomach isn't growling and I really don't feel like eating right now anyway."

Erm my BMI is on the low side of normal but it seems when I gain any weight and go more towards in the middle of the range my body doesn't know what to do with it! I still look thin but then i get what kind of looks like lovehandles. lol. People always seem to underestimate my weight...people meaning girls, who are always asking me how i stay skinny and stuff  but then they're like "oh you're tall, that's why." i dunno about the fat vs muscle thing, all i know is muslce weighs more than fat...so might have something to do with what my sister calls my "man arms" :P they look pretty thin and lanky but if they are flexed or i slightly bend my arms i have like a bulge of muscle on each arm and i really dont know where it came from...not that im complaining :D

I can't contribute much to this convo re: weight lifting because I'm really lazy and almost never work out. Maybe I should start, I want to get weights to keep in my room or something, I don't particularly like going to the gym where a bunch of people are watching you...and all I can do is envy bio-guys for being born the way they were...so yeah makes me think too much. :/

A budding Adonis!

I am so glad that you are developing appropriate strength, now as I lose mine maybe you could help mom with that pesky Jalapeño jar!

(Who eats pickles in Texas - it is hot peppers or nothing!)

Love ya,

I'll trade you! Arms for abs!

Seriously though, you'll bulk up with time. In about 2 years you'll be Mr. Beefcakes. There's a guy on YouTube who posted about how he ended up being muscular without working out. T will do that.

I'm impatient and work out so I can speed things along.

I use to love hot peppers but since I started T I haven't been able to enjoy them as much. Strange, huh?

*flex* Don't worry, Sally. I'll help you out with that. *lifts up table with one hand* Oh, you just wanted me to open that jar? Sorry! *opens* B)

Hmm...I don't know. I like my abs a lot. Haha.

Yeah, isn't 2 years the "normal growth time" on T? I really need to unlazy myself and work out again. I was on a roll for awhile then stopped.

By the way LOL @ MR.BEEFCAKES

I've heard that the "full effects" of T take between 2 and 5 years to show up, but changes still happen beyond that time frame. Maybe I'll get to go through adolescence and grow old man ear hair at the same time. Fun!!

Kyle...maybe you should change your ID to zABrak, so you can emphasize the abs. :) LOLOLOL!!!

Going the opposite direction of you I can tell you I have never in my life seriously lifted weights to gain muscle. I may have done it once or twice for exercise, but that's it. I can life close to 300 lbs objects (with someone on the other side of course :P) Strength is just natural.

I am an evangelical  I am also transgender.  This is an issue. I have read up on it.  I am not an expert, but I have done a lot of reading.   One thing I do not get about people who take that position is that evangelicals are all about salvation by faith alone by Christ alone by grace alone - unless you are transgender.  Then you cannot be saved, these say, unless you do the work of un-transgendering yourself.  Which is, practically, impossible.  I have read the "solutions" and I don't buy them, obviously, because they do not work.    In evangelicalism salvation is by faith alone, Christ alone, grace alone, without any merit of our own.  That means, to an evangelical, we come to Christ as we are,  in the words of a glorious hymn,   1 Just as I am, without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me, and that thou bidd'st me come to thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   2 Just as I am, and waiting not to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   3 Just as I am, though tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   4 Just as I am, thou wilt receive, wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve; because thy promise I believe, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.   We do not clean ourselves up BEFORE we come to Christ.  We let Him clean us up AFTER we come to Him.    Those who insist that transgender people cannot be saved are actually preaching another Gospel, a Gospel of works, and have wandered away from the glorious Gospel into works.  That is strong but true.   Struggling with legalism and grace, I have found more of God's mercy and grace available to me because I struggle with being transgender and seeking His resolution of it.  Which, not having the struggle, I would not have needed to seek Him earnestly on this.

Eventually, (especially if you start T,) things will even out. The excitement you feel is from everything being so new. Finally knowing yourself and having others recognise you can be thrilling. However, because it is your natural state of being, eventually that wears off. There's nothing exciting about it anymore because it's "just you." (Which is a perfect thing to be!) This, however, can lead to disappointment. Trust me when I say however, that that disappointment and jarring reaction to wrong pronouns will go away, and you'll once again feel comfortable in yourself.

I wear a wig most of the time.  But I can get by with my natural (shoulder length) hair if I wear a hat or something to cover the mostly empty top. Unfortunately that train has left the station, sigh.

Oddly enough, just this weekend I read some of my poetry at a local event.  In this case it was a Pride group so I didn't have a particular advantage.  But I have read in more inclusive (of cis people) situations, and been fairly well received.  Let's face it, cis people do deserve an equal chance.   I suppose this might be a problem in the future.
    • Ivy
Of course we do.  The few friends I do have are almost exclusively cis or trans women. I think I could have a relationship with a man, but he would be kinda "other" to me.  Could be interesting though. I never have understood guys - even when I was trying to be one.
