Ok, so I lived. Praise God.

I am in one piece. Praise God.

My chest itself it good. Praise God.

And then there are the saucers......... I said "small" I gave the man a picture, these are not that picture.

I got my drains out today and I saw my chest for the first time. Flat. Good. Nipple? :( I've been emotional since then.

He claims he can take the size down more. But 30-60 days from now. Why so long? I feel it should be easier to take em off now and pare em. I'm not agreed with here. Anyone been there? The plus though is I can talk to you without plastic tubes being irritable or cutting off my circulation. Thank god though the drains did what they were supposed to. Stranded? No joke bro, the D I is way more than what they tell you.

I'm still emotional. God I so wanted to look and see Little

Evan! My man! I am SO glad to hear that you are doing okay!

Yeah, the DI is a little more gnarly than people prepare you for. It is not the walk in the park some guys would lead you to believe it is. Are you fairly mobile? For the first 3 days I did not move around much at all. It was too painful. By day 4 or 5, I was okay to walk around...just with VERY limited arm movement.

Drains? Those were pretty much awful. It was majorly upsetting the first time I had to empty them...or rather had someone empty them for me. I was too out of it to empty them the first time it needed to be done. I got icky blisters where the drain tubes were coming out of the bandages. Those blisters ITCHED!

I can imagine how disappointed you feel about not finding the little you were expecting. You really don't want the doc pulling those guys off right now. They are in that delicate stage where the new blood supply is being established. Not to freak you out, but those grafts are paper thin...maybe thinner. Plenty of people get stuff resized after the fact. I think it is a lot easier to trim them down once everything else is healed up. Now, I don't get why the doc didn't do that in the first place.

Look at it this way. It's easier to reduce when there is too much than to add if there isn't enough. The "standard" size that many chest surgeons use is about the size of a nickel. Maybe your doctor got to working and for some reason didn't feel he/she was able to neatly cut that small. In that case, maybe it is better to end up with something that is temporarily too big than to have lost the whole thing.

I'm trying to find those good points, man. I'm working.

Surgery is a tremendous stressor. I imagine you are more emotional than usual just because of that. I know I was pretty emotional for a couple of weeks after my surgery.

I'll PM you in a few.

Evan,

First, I'm glad that you are alive and feeling better and second "All men are created equal" is a great line on paper but llook around they all come in different shapes and sizes even those! :lol:

He may have been a little concerned about doing too much reduction and having the graft take - with all of the other work being done at the same time and will really feel more comfortable later having done well the first time.

I'm not a surgeon but I do know that there was a lot of material being dealt with this time and reducing those will be on an area that is undisturbed and has alread reestablished all of the blood supplies.

Just one more (or two) little thing(s) to deal with.

Love ya,

Sally

Thats just it. Why do you want em to "establish" if they're WRONG?

<-----Emotional. Stress 10000. Wants to peel them off and do self correction.....

Now, now... No peeling!!!

Establish --> trim later

is better than

trim --> go bye bye

I'm sorry that your results aren't what you wanted. It's hard to pay so much and wait so long only to be disappointed.

I didn't have the same issue with nipple size, but the loss of sensation from my peri really bothered (and bothers) me. Also, my meta results looked odd at first - it took time to resolve and it looks better now that most of the swelling is gone, though it's much smaller than I was hoping for. I just keep reminding myself that it's better than it was. It's not perfect, but nothing about my body is perfect. I'm better off than I was and that's going to have to do it. But it's so hard to remember that when you're still vulnerable from surgery and have had such high hopes for something.

The surgeon says he can fix it in 30-60 days. Considering the healing time for top surgery, that's not that much. If he's like most surgeons, he'll make you wear a vest day and night for ~ 2 weeks. So if it's 30 days, half that time you won't even see the result. It's going to be about a year before those scars can handle sun exposure, so few other people are going to see your chest either. Again, I'm not saying this isn't hard or anything, I'm just saying it's survivable.

Remember, those grafts need time to take. If you mess around with them too much, you'll lose them all together. You could still tattoo them, but is that really preferable to waiting another month or two for your result?

Actually, nippleless at this point sounds "doable". Tatooing works.

Please note that you would need to send an email to receive the actual survey link.   Seeking Interview Participants for Research Study on Digital Spaces of Transgender Belonging What is the Study About? Over the past several decades, the Internet has fundamentally changed how trans people form community spaces, explore gender identity, and practice community care. My dissertation will evaluate trans people's relationships to digital trans spaces, and I am conducting interviews as part of this research study. Who Qualifies? What Does It Involve? A brief (five minute) screening survey, later followed by a virtual interview lasting approximately one hour. You will receive $75 after participating in an interview as compensation for your time. Your participation in this interview is completely voluntary. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to reflect on your history with trans online communities and resources. This will head for a court case and the notable fact that the people opposing puberty blockers is that they have not revealed their source and its competence.  It will be present the evidence and let your "experts" sit on the grill above the hot coals.

      Pretty typical for many nations.... corrupt police, and only great effort by the victim's family will eventually yield prosecution.  Conviction is uncertain, and sentencing even more so.

      Welcome to Trans Pulse, Bobbi.  It's nice to meet you.  I remember well all the emotions you mentioned upon starting on this journey, about 15 years ago now.  It's an exciting, albeit scary time, and there will be many questions and decisions along the way.  Any way we can help, all you need to do is ask.  We'll be here for you.   HUGS   Carolyn Marie

      Everyone is their own person and has their own way of operating in the world. Being “enough” isn’t for anyone to judge, outside of maybe our closest loved ones, and definitely not those that are trying to measure themselves high by cutting others down. They know I wouldn’t succeed for very long—or at all—keeping my life bifurcated as you, but I am happy you are content with where you’re at with yourself.

      My kids are grown now.  I realize I don't know the half of what they did.  But my parents didn't know the half of what I did either.  It's just how it works.   You kinda know, but please spare me the details.

      @MaeBe, Good luck and best wishes on the new start in the Great Northwest. I don’t know a parent that didn’t call out their kids for being drunk or high as rebellious teenagers. I just told my teens that they can’t kid a kidder, and I was a teenager early 1970s we could drink legally at 18 so I have tons of experience spotting drunk kids.    As for the poetry, I liked it.  We never have enough support bras or tee shirts in the rotation.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

      Oh my @KymmieL, I’m sorry you’re on the job hunt again. They didn’t seem to be a good fit for you anyway. You deserve to be treated fairly and not undermined by competing owners who don’t communicate well.    Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋
