How To Hide A Bit Of A Gut?

I'm fairly new to women's clothing, at least in terms of dressing my body. I'm not hugely fat or anything, but I do have a bit of a beer gut. When I stand up, it's almost not noticeable, but when I sit down, it's fairly obvious. I want to be able to wear that tight dress and not have to worry about my pudge showing. I'm roughly 6'0, 130lbs. Sorry I don't have my clothing sizes, all I know is that I wear 34" waist pants (but I can get into a 32" if need be) and medium men's shirts.

My personal style would probably help you out, too:

I'd like to dress my age (19)

I'd like to look flirty, but not like a very *friendly* person

I have a bit of a rocker edge

I don't know why, but I love strapless stuff

I'm also on a bit of a tight budget, so any cheap fixes would be great.

Honest? (I'm trying to remember back to that age but its kind of hard....) For the clothes that you are thinking of? There isn't a "fix"/disguise. Genetic chicks either have to "accept the pudge" (And there are many that do, thats why you see pudge in spandex) or knock themselves unconscious to lose it. Starvation, odd diets that actually are bizaar, garments to "smash" it down even though its painful, that surgery where they cut of part of your stomach, bulemia, life threatening pharmacuticals, thats what genetic peeps do. Only 2% of the female population can wear the kind of clothes you're talking about and be "flat stomached".

If you're 6' and 130 you likely aren't "fat". The perception of how much fat is acceptable on your body as a female has to change. You find most 5'7" girls who weigh 130 and they are satisfied. The last time I weighed that I was 14? 15? And considered myself "trim". The male genetic body , by comparison , is not prone to holding fat in the same way the genetic female one is and you might've gotten used to thinking 2% body fat is "regular" . lol its not. At least not in the world of women. Just do a bunch of crunches and leave the rest alone. Let estrogen "rearrange " it. The rearranging is a BIG part. There are genetic girls who have beer guts but the remedy for that is stop drinking beer.

HRT gets rid of it in about 6 months, but you probably aren't on it. I would use a body shaper - they work pretty well, but are not made to pee eaily - so they are a hassle. Also, the weight loss elastic bands with velcro work, but sometimes show lines.

No easy way other than stop being male.

Testosterone puts fat inside your abdomen - its not so much exterior as interior. Estrogen puts fat 'down south.'

Thanks for the great advice. I know that estrogen is going to move the fat around a bit, but I won't be on it for a while. I mean, it's not a gigantic gut by any means, I'd just like to look my best. The other option is to find clothes that work around it. I'm sure I can find something that'll work.

thanks again for the advice, I really appreciate it.

 At your age I'd get a corsett that is made to be seen with the clothes you wear, then the corsett does its job while you have your fun..

I don't see how you could have a gut! 6 foot and 130 lbs?? You have to be the skinniest lady alive!! I'm about 140 lbs and only 5'5 and I'm in pretty good shape. I think you're probably doing the normal thing that girls do, and that's over-critiquing yourself. I bet you look beautiful. Wear what you want and be proud of how you look. :)

I agree wit the get a corset idea or a waist cincher if you dont want to be staring at your love handles/gut but loosing the fat is the only thing thats going to make it go away everything else is going to hid it. But corsets are generally (the real ones not the vanity ones) comfortable and they support good posture. I wont say they will bring back the dinosours but you would be surprised what you can do with one. And they are still good to have after you loose the fat. Pleasant Journies.

CM, you are just whacked!! I LOVE IT!!!

I am also 6', and hover around 160, so I am prolly built about the same as you Natalie. I do have the advantage of over 35 years of dressing in girl mode, so I know what I can squeeze into and still breathe. I have long legs, so my normal size is 10 long. and L for tops. I have not started HRT yet either (soon tho!!), but I tend to make my girlfriends mad cuz I have a pretty good figure already (38-26-38 with help only at the top!!) I don't drink, except coffee, so mebbe that helps. I do still wear control tops, just to keep things smooth. My best suggestion is to head out to your local thrift shop(s) and check out some of the things there. You will prolly find some nice things, and you can try on several sizes til you find what fits best. Once you know what fits, then you go SHOPPING!! If you are really concerned about a lil pooch, do some crunches every day, it'll be gone before ya know it!!

Love

Kacee

Allow me to add that people should think twice about posting pictures of themselves, with the facial recognition software that is out there.  Those in stealth or who are not fully out may discover they are suddenly and unwillingly fully out in ways they wish had not happened.

Funny how when i read the topic name i thought you were asking about the study of plants and animals.  I'm a bit into that as a farmer at va time when a cell phone makes plant  for insect identification easier than it has ever been.    Now on to your topic.  I don't farm in the nude.  I have wondered at whether i would skinny dip as i did as a kid without thought of how my body might affect others.  The effects of hormones makes me different from the average person and perhaps i'm "neither fish nor fowl".  I would certainly depend on who my fellow passengers on that cruise would be.   Hugs,   Charlize

This is also a relatively small forum and it can take a long time, seemingly, for someone to get around to replying to a post.

I am also pretty sure that several of them are folks who are "trans curious".  Sometimes folks who are trying to find their own identity, are attracted to trans folks or who are simply interested in the trans community.   There may also be some who wish to do us harm which is why ......... I've just learned to smile figuring "i'm on candid camera".   I'm sure many of our younger members never experienced that show so my age is showing.   Hugs,   Charlize

Most of those "guests" are web bots from China, Indonesia, France etc. looking us over. They are mostly benign.  All they can see or gain access to are the general forums.  Members should be careful not to post anything that could readily identify themselves such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. They do not have access to our gallery, blogs or private messenger. They seem to haunt all forums. Not just us. I should add that they can make us known across the internet. That's how prospective members find us. Google would be a good example.

Heck I didn't even know they could go up that high! I just have a four burner and one to keep stuff warm. What kind of pies did you make?

That's all the matters.   Well me and the wife rode to Perkins for breakfast. As we were waiting for our food. Being it is Sunday There are a few gentleman in suits, my guess from church. I think to myself. I hope I never have to wear one of those monkey suits ever again. Now a nice dress maybe.   Hugs,   Kymmie

From time to time I've looked at 'Who Is Online" and I have consistently noticed that members are ALWAYS outnumbered by Guests by a wide margin, sometimes, like a minute ago, by more than a 10:1 margin.  I have never seen that before on an internet forum.  It can be explained partly by the nature of what this is, that it draws the curious and they are certainly welcome to read here, and to join, but it leaves me with a feeling of being in a fishbowl.  I wonder who ARE these people?  Donald Trump, is that you? Biden? Sinwar? Putin?  We can only guess.

So from time to time my brain gets a hold of information and puts it together with other information in weird way that get me thinking. I was reading about a nudes cruise that they are running out if Miami. It got me thinking that a transgendered person who is also a naturalist, has to be one of the most unlucky people alive. How does one manage that and does that ever come up? Not trying to make fun here, just genuinely curious. Things that make you go hmmmm....

No luck there, really. She's getting a signing bonus plus a little extra that I don't think would cover much in the way of the move, but it is something!   Oh my! I am glad to hear you're not passing anymore blood. I hope they figure it out soon! How distressing!   @April Marie @KymmieL @Mirrabooka @Willow @Justine76, thank you for the kind words and thoughts! We told our best friends last night. There were many tears. Now it's all about the work: selling the house (my wife's friend's son said he may want to buy it direct!), a job (a former employee of mine wants to bring me over to his company--and they're based outside of Tacoma!), and moving (just started going through what we don't want bring and donating things). So things have kicked off.   I'm not so sure of the job, it would be good to work with my former employee (he's great) but I fear the culture may not be super welcoming to someone like me--and the guy doesn't know I'm trans in any way. But I'll give it a shot as my authentic self and see what happens!

@LadypcnjI'm sorry. I know the feeling my mom thinks I'm going through a phase too although I didn't come out till April 17, 2023, so it was later in life. I was in denial majority of my life. I would love to hear more about this if you are comfortable sharing more of it.

I love fashion. I have over 100 dresses and 74 pairs of shoes. My walk-in closet is full of other clothes as well. I'm getting more shorts soon. SHEIN is awesome for quality and price. Just when you get a leather coat from them it's just the shell not the liner. Most of my shoes are from Torrid because I wear size 13 women's.
