For a while now, I've been trying to decide on a name I can use for my male "side". There's quite a few that I like, and I'm not sure which one I like the best.

I'd post a picture to see which one suits me the most, but I haven't had my hair cut yet and I still look very feminine ¬¬

I have bright red hair (dyed) and I'm into the whole Goth/Punk thing. I'm quite a grumpy person sometimes (LOL) and I tend to get angry easily. I like anime and manga, reading and listening to music. I also love writing.

So, that's me in a nutshell, I hope that helps you understand what suits me the most.

I said Carl but that was a joke. I like Stephen, because that's the name I would have had if I had a penis when I was born. :(

I would have been called James.

LOL it's the Finnish word for "ocean". I named one of my character's it, from one of my books.

Thanks for voting, you two. :D

Well, heck.....

I voted for Valtameri because I just like the sound of it!

It sounds mysterious and exotic!

I voted for two: James or Edward.

If you were Edward, you could be called Ned, and you seem like a Ned to me. But James is also really good, too.

Hmmm.

I can't say which one suits you because I don't know you.

However, I'll tell you what each one makes me think and maybe that will be helpful.

Stephen- Nice. Makes me think of someone who's English.

Marquis- Nice. Also makes me think "ethnic". Since there are many african american males named Marquis. (Unfortunantly they never pronounce it correctly instead saying " mar-kese" instead of "mar-key")

Nicholas- Long time favorite. Reminds me of a polished man.

Carl- Don't do it lol. Makes me think of a man with a crappy job and bowling lol.

James- Always good, this was the name of my best friend. Spunky, funny, tempermental, popular , and phenomenal. A lot of people thought a lot of him.

Valtameri- Reminds me of Voldemort

Edward- Good in theory -or at least in sound- but, I've never known an Edward who was successful or things worked out for . Use caution possibly

Look for the inevitable nicknames that will evolve. That might help

Stephen (pronounced how it's spelt) = Steph (pronounced like it's spelled) - Steppy - Finny - Stephany

Marquis = Mark - Marky - Keister - Theater Sign

Nicholas = Nick - Nickie - Santa Claus

Carl = already a short name for Nicholus - Nickie - or Carlton the Doorman

James = Jim - Jammy - Jimmy - Jimbo - Jim-Jim

Valtameri = Val - Vaul -Vitamin

Edward = Ed - Eddie - Edwardo

I like James = combine it with a good second name

James Marcus

James LeMaire

James Petard

Just a few thoughts

Elizabeth Anne = Liz - Lizzy - Lizzette Antoinette

I laughed a LOT when I read that LOL

Thanks for all the voting, everyone. And I like all your reasons too.

@Lizzie - the Stephen one was the reason I was slightly put off, I really didn't want people to shorten it to Steph.

Each name has been voted for at least once LOL

The popular choice seems to be Nicholas. Why do people like that one the best? Is it just the name? Or do people like the sound of it?

Thanks for voting everyone!

Right.

I've taken all your votes into account, and although Nicholas is the top choice I've narrowed it down to ...

JAMES or EDWARD

Use them both!

James Edward works and you have a middle initial for all of the forms that ask for it.

Love ya,

Sally
