Hi everyone!

I'm a 18 year-old MTF from Québec who has yet to begin her transition to her real self, but can't wait to do so. I'm in CÉGEP right now (which is in between high school and university, usually lasts 2 years).

I've kinda always known my body felt weird and wasn't very comfortable in my male body ever, but when I was a child I thought I would change when I would hit puberty and that when I was going to be hairy with a deep voice then everything would magically change and that it'd all be gone  Of course, these feelings didn't go away, and now, more than ever, I think myself as a female person. At first, I was into crossdressing and I thought myself as a crossdresser only and not as a TS, and didn't really hear about transition, so I just looked up at living as a crossdresser full time, because I wasn't happy looking and being a boy. Then when the androgyne phase, but it was still wrong and misconcepted by me, as I would've had a female side too strong to be androgyne. The more I searched on the Internet and went deep inside, looking for my true feelings, I realised that I was really female inside, so now I'm really looking towards transition.

Sorry if my description isn't that clear but that's the best I could come with right now. If you have any questions ask, don't be shy!

ps: sorry if I may make some English mistakes as my mother tongue is French.

Hi Alexxe

Nice to meet you. I can relate to your experiences ;)

You found probably the best site to get the answers your looking for.

The people are friendly, the articles are informative, and the coco and cookies are delicious. :P

So find a comfy chair, kick you shoes off and stay awhile.

We're happy to have you here :D

Hi Alexxe,

Welcome to the forums.

I'm glad you like the cookies, I keep the virtual ovens going almost around the clock to greet all of our new members.

I'm one of the moderators and we are here to help keep this site safe for everbody, it makes Laura's such a fun place, not having to look around at what is going on in the next forum.

Be sure to ask any questions that come to mind, the only dumb question is the one unasked.

Welcome to the family.

Love ya,

Sally

Good to see someone from here. And don't worry about the french mistakes, it's a very complicated language, especially with the objects' gender: even I don't know whether plane or bus is masculine or feminine, but my grandma always let me know when I make them

Thanks to you and to Carolyn :)

Welcome to Laura's Alexxe from a fellow Canuck! I don't talk much here, but I read and learn a lot. There are lots of other fellow Canadians here as well. Sometimes it helps to find out what resources, doctors, etc that are available in our healthcare system. In fact, the premier surgeon for SR surgery is in Montreal. His name is Dr. Mark Brassard. Also look for support groups in your city if you live in one. It can mean a lot to make friends that understand and are going through the same thing that you are. Enjoy yourself here and "post" away. This really is a safe and loving place.
