Hi Randi and welcome. Just commenting to remind me to drop back another time when it’s not so late. I’m an activist too, and a musician. I am also a youth worker and disability support worker and have encountered folks with DID (though I know there is sometimes controversy over diagnoses). I’m curious who your favourite band is. Some of mine are Slint, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, the War on Drugs.

That’s a cool thing that I’ve noted when watching women use their hands. There’s such a different way they touch things than men do. I’m growing my nails out and I’m fascinated by how it is changing how may hands move and touch.  I am absolutely amazed watching Dolly Parton play her guitar with very long nails.💅  I hope it all works out well for you and your keyboarding.

Seeing women with long nail type, I've noted they don't use the tips of their fingers (as I do) but rather they keep their hand flat and touch the keyboard as if leaving a fingerprint.

I have a cousin who is a member who said I would be welcome.  If the GOP’s proposed legislation passes maybe I should join the Son’s of Cincinnati for male ancestors of officers in the revolution. 😃

Welcome!    This rings true for me as well ! Im 32 and new ish to gender exploration. I like to cross dress, I often paint my nails and have begun growing my hair. Ive been experimenting with various clothes and breast forms and have found that althkugh clothes arent Inherintly sexual, the ones I seem to go for certainly have a commonality to them to say the least so im not sure if its a sexual thing or a gender thing.    This is a really good internal realisation. I found that when it was all new, it felt taboo and more inherently sexual but as ive done it more and more that feeling has gone away ?   Just know that you don't need to excuse who you are or what you like. Im a very large, heavy, tall man and I like what i like even if that is cutsey skirts. You are you and you are perfectly okay ! Feel free to reach out if you fancy a chat as we are similar ages and situations haha

Welcome. I can relate to your story in regard to stopping and it only came back stronger. I found a wonderful workbook called You and Your Gender Identity by Dara Hoffman-Fox. It costs about $15 US. Dara takes you through so many questions and asks you to answer based on your life. Dara doesn't push you in any direction but helps you  figure out where you are on the spectrum. Who you are is yours to determine and whatever your comfortable with and happy with is what you should do. I'm glad you are here and I know yours is a tough journey and scary at the same time. Keep asking questions, we only want you to be happy.

Thank you for the welcome and I may have a look at that book. A big concern off mine is for a few months now I have been fantasizing about men looking at me as a women and what it would be like to kiss a man in my full feminine attire I notice myself looking at men in a different way more and more now. I am not sure what this mean for me, am I gay or bisexual or with everything else I feel and dressing as a women dose this mean I do really want to be a women. I'm sorry to ask these questions but I am utterly confused over my feelings it's very overwhelming.

Welcome to the Forums!! First, you're not at all long-winded and, even if you were, there is no need to apologize. Giving people the ability to express their feelings and explore is why we're here. So, have at it. Wander the forums, ask questions, share; whatever helps you find your way.   Your description of how your dressing has progressed is, actually, quite common. Many of us have a sexual component to dressing, especially early on, that then disappears or at least lessens considerably.    Gender expression is not, as society wants us to believe, an either/or proposition. It is actually a wide spectrum and finding where we fit on that spectrum is the key to happiness. You may very well be happy as someone who crossdresses. Someone who feels a connection to both a masculine and feminine component of their being. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that; where anyone falls on the gender spectrum is no better or worse than anyone else.   Finding that spot is the key. We'll certainly be happy to help, as we can. You might also look to working with a gender therapist, if possible. You may also consider getting a copy of Dara Hoffman-Fox's workbook, You and Your Gender Identity: A Guide to Discovery. Many of us have found that to be an excellent place to start. It's available on Amazon for about $15 here in the US.   In any case, welcome. Here you'll be accepted, valued and supported. Let us know how we can assist you in your journey.

Ok well I'm going to jump right in a start with I'm not sure about my true gender anymore. I need to apologise right away as this maybe long winded. But I have been crossdressing since I was 15 I've always loved the feeling of being dressed as a beautiful women over the years I realised it was more of a sexualised feeling I got when dressed up but as the went on the female side came out more.   I was dressing up as normal in dresses, female underwear had the fake breasts, wigs and all the make up even started shaving every last bit of body hair and having my nails done so they were perfeci even went as far as going outside late at night dresses as a full women and yes I felt amazing. But it was still a sexualised thing.   Now I'm 40 years old have a partner of 16 years and 2 amazing children my partner has caught me once dressed up and she wasn't best pleased. I told her that I would stop doing it and I really thought I could. That was a year ago now but I cannot no matter how much I try stop myself I still dress as a female when I can I still have a hairless body and still do my nails but now It feels different somehow.   I don't feel like I did before I'm not turned on like I was before now It just feels likes it really me when I'm dressed up I feel amazing inside and I feel so feminine and inside I know I could live this way forever. But I don't feel like I'm trans, I don't hate my male body but I don't like it either but I do like the female body all the curves just everything about it and not in a sexual way anymore and this why I'm a little confused to say the least. I mean I walk down the street and see a beautiful women and think that dress she has on would really suit me.    As I said before sorry for the long winded essay but and views on my confusion would be welcomed and thank in advance.
