Similar to Vicky, I just take them as prescribed - and their prescriptions aren't related to each other. My estradiol is patches applied twice weekly, and my spiro is twice daily. So there's really no order to them; they each have their own routine.

Not to be smart aleck but: I take mine exactly as prescribed by my doctor and at the times the doctor or pharmacist designates.   The order of ingestion of oral meds, if they are prescribed for the same general window of time will not matter since it is the individual chemical compositions of the pills as to how fast they will dissolve in your body and released to go to the sites of the receptors they are to work with.   For injections, it is still up to their chemical compositions as to how the body utilizes and transports the medication to the hormone receptor cells. 

Funeral was today and went great and celebrated her life. One of my dad's brothers, my Uncle Eathan is gay and told me finally that she took it well when he came out to her about it in 1971. He has been a great role model to me and helped me come out about my true self

I've been out and trying to voice train for about a year. I've been artificially raising my voice which is different from voice training, however there was no damage to my throat. I started actual voice training about a week ago and I'm somehow already seeing results like my voice ceiling is higher. I'm only on the first video but I wanna be consistent before I move onto the next video and I'm not sure when to move on, any advice?

Sounds like such a lovely day, Kathy :) fresh veggies sound really good, I wish this cyclospora outbreak could end already so I could have vegetables (I miss lettuce so much... I miss salads... whyyy) Your neighbors sound friendly too; I hope you all can get along well. Nothing better than a good neighbor :)

We went to the farmers' market this morning for fresh veggies.  Checked out a craft fair on the way home: nothing much of interest there, and way too many Christmas ornaments for the middle of July.  When we got home, I cut up some branches that I had cut down yesterday, and carted them to the burn pile.  No fires allowed right now, but once it's safe to burn them, I will.    In the afternoon, we went to an ice cream social at the schoolhouse museum across the road.  We met some of our new neighbours; we've only been in the area less than two months.  It's weird being new in a small community: everyone knows who we are ("You must be the people that bought the _____ house"), even if we've never met them.  It was fun.  In this part of the world, especially in a rural area, no one cares if you are trans.  If you are a good neighbour, you are accepted.   Tonight, I've got the weekly trans Zoom meeting.

Me personally, I've got basically nothing going on. My aunt's over because her power went out, and since she works the phone for a pizza place and we don't have a spare room for her to work in, she's taking orders in the living room. That means I have to stay extra quiet until her shift is over (we have paper-thin walls; america for you I guess, so that's why I have to keep quiet.) I am happy to see her, but I hate quiet more than anything, so I'm only so happy about it... Sigh.   Anyways, I'm bored, so tell me: what are you all up to today? Anything interesting? I'm all ears 

Very true.  I used to be self-conscious about my "masculine" eyebrows, until I met a cisgender woman whose eyebrows were much bushier than mine.  I realized I needn't stress about it.   I had a trans woman from my support group show me the basics of applying makeup.  With a bit of practise I could do a half-decent job in 5 or 10 minutes.  But then along came covid, and masking meant that (a) it would all get smudged before you got home and (b) nobody could see it anyway.  I haven't used makeup since.  Once you get to a certain age, no one expects makeup anyway.   Stephanie, getting someone to show you the basics is a good idea, and it makes sense to go to a professional.  You don't have to do it all every time you go out.  My friend from the support group showed me a lot, and I practised a bit, but I really couldn't get into dressing up my eyes with eyeliner and mascara just to go to the grocery store.  I'd use a little bit of foundation, some setting powder, and a touch of blush, plus lipstick.

Passable is such a difficult thing to define. CIS women come in all shapes, sizes, hair styles...... you name it. To me, the key is to be presentable - appropriate for the event and place so that you appear as any other person there. I'll never be a beauty queen, but I do generally get by. My make up routine for every day is fairly simple. Darken my eyebrows a bit, some light rouge on both cheeks, mascara and lipstick. I may add some eyeliner or shadow from time to time but it takes me about 10 minutes. I've had several makeovers for formal events but prefer the everyday look unless it's really a special occasion.    Hormone therapy will soften your features a bit as fat cells migrate (really, old ones disappear in places and new ones form in others).
