Hello, I've made this guide to help anyone learn how to use basic forum tools. As I've noticed we get many new users who are confused.

[A1] How to Make a Topic

Near the top right of the forum there is a button called "New topic"

It will open up a window with many options. All you need to know is in the middle of the window it allows you to type your message and it will appear on the forum just like this thread does here once you press the "Post New Topic" button at the bottom of the page.

You can add a smile to the front of your topics post by checking off one of the smiles in the smile box above the "Post New Topic" button at the bottom of the page.

Or you can add a smile inside of your post by clicking on the smiles on the left side of the text which you type for your topic.

Remember, you must pick these options before you post because once you do post you cannot go back to edit this.

[A2] Posting

To post, simply go to the "Add Reply" button at top right of a Topic.

[A3] Quoting

There is two ways to quote. Either using the "reply" button or the "quote" button under someones posts. If you use the reply it will send you to quote that single post right away. If you click quote you can click it under multiple users posts then click "Add Reply" in order to quote and answer every post you choose at the same time.

In order to quote properly once you've selected which post(s) you want to quote you need to write your answer outside of the quote tags that will appear around the post(s) you quoted.

Quote tages look like this:

When you type outside of the quote tags it looks like this:

[A4] Coloring and Stylizing Text

At the top of the box you type your messege in there will be many ways to edit your text. I will bring you through the basics of how to make sure these edits to your text work.

This is the toolbox of different edits for your text:

I will teach you how to use fonts and color your text. You will have to look through and figure out the rest yourself as there are many kinds of edits and most of them work the same as fonts and colors do.

When you want to color a text of yours, HIGHLIGHT the text that you want to be colored. Then goto the A in the toolbox of edits and choose your color. Your text should be wrapped in color code tags.

Color code tags look like this:

Your text should look like this on your screen:

Using fonts is the same as coloring but you go to the "Fonts" in your toolbox edits. So in the end your text should be wrapped in font tags.

Font tags look like this:

[font="Arial Black"][/font]

For any type of editing you must highlight the text which you want to edit. Like the examples above you will know you've done it right if your text is wrapped in tags.

1.Where you custize tools are

On the top right of the forum there is a link list. The one you want to go to customize your account is "My controls" as shown below:

Now scroll down the list it brings up till you see "Personal Profile" and the list below it.

Edit Avatar Settings

Change Personal Photo

I will guide you through most of these settings and what they do.

Edit Profile Information - this area allows you to change your basic info inside your profile such as, Gender Selection, Your Date of Birth, Country, state and more. None of these will give any specific info to the public so you do no need to worry about that....

Edit Personal Portal Information - the person portal information shows up in your main profile, you can write a little bit about yourself here.

Edit Signature - this area allows you to input a signature which will appear under all your posts. You may only write here, no hotlinks or pictures allowed in users signatures.

Edit Avatar Settings - this is where you may put a avatar to post with. It must be resized to 90x90 pixels.

Change Personal Photo - the personal photo show sup in your main profile. It must be resized to 150x150 pixels.

2.Posting with pictures

Posting with pictures is pretty simple. When you go to post, under where you type your text you should see "browse" and "Upload". Click on browse to browse through and choose the picture you want to post. Remember the forum only hosts smaller sized pictures so you will have to make sure your picture is smaller and within the 75k limit.

3.How to resize pictures

Resizing images is not a forum tool. This is something you'll have to do yourself. It can be done on various image editing programs. If you have no clue how to do it I suggest you google a guide on how to resize images.
