Large Size Shoes

Shoes of Your Dreams (.com)

This site has been in the back of my mind for a few months about two pairs of shoes that I wanted to buy but I was hesitant and I wasn't sure how reputable they were. Well, last night I decided to go ahead and order those two pairs and see for myself. So I went to the site and found the black mary janes flats and the pair of flat black ballet flats that I had my eyes on and placed my order.

Now on the site they warn that their sizes run 1-2 sizes large so order one size less than your normal male shoe size. Yes! The company is actually catering to men shoe sizes in women's shoes. So my normal men's size is a 15 so I ordered a 14. I was woken up this morning to my phone ringing. Not knowing the number I let it go to voice mail. When I checked it I found out it was a lady from the site calling to confirm, since I'm a new customer, that I ordered the correct size since I guess some don't read the warning or don't pay attention to it. So I wrote her back stating that I normally wear a 15 so that's why I ordered a 14 and if in fact that was correct. She wrote me back again giving some measurements for the two shoes so I measured my foot and determined that a 14 would be okay. Plus with women's shoes I wear a thin sock or no sock. She wrote me back a third time to confirm my order and state that it would be shipped out in 1-2 business days and the company pays for returns should I in fact need a smaller or larger size.

We'll see how they are and how they fit when they get here but I'm already a lot more confident about the company after that email exchange. It made me feel valued as a customer knowing that they wanted me to be confident about my purchase and happy with that I'll be receiving. :)

Hi Lizzie!

Thanks for sharing that information with us! I just got a pair in from Endless and they are pretty tight fitting. They are the Pleaser brand, and I believe I read somewhere that they tend to be smaller than the size would indicate.

Hugs,

Opal

I wouldn't buy Pleasers anyway. They're a little too fetishy for me. There are some other nice shoes on this site though, even if a little pricey. I'm looking for a Payless for women with big feet. It's gotta be out there somewhere.

Honey if there was a Payless for women with big feet I would have found it. The site I mentioned is the closest thing. Yeah $100 or so for a pair of shoes is a little much. They were on sale though.... Shipping was $15 though. I'll be looking forward to seeing the quality of construction and how they feel to determine if I buy from them again.

And as cute as those Pleaser Mary Jane shoes are, seeing there's nothing on that site in my size with less than a 2" heel, I'm not buying.

Hi Everyone!

First off, I'd like to apologize for my earlier posting on this thread. I inadvertently took it in an entirely unplanned direction, which was entirely unfair to Lizzie. Plus, I had chosen a brand that was unreliable in its sizing of product, and had been warned about, yet I went ahead and ignored the warning. The cost of return shipping is such that it wouldn't be worth attempting a return, so I just have to figure its part of the cost of my learning experience.

I really do feel bad about this, and wish I hadn't have made that particular post, or at least worded it better in that I had erred in what I had bought. I just hope you will forgive me.

Hugs (hopefully)

Opal

Yes and I wasn't too impressed with the selection my search results came back with.

I'm also a bit confused how I got 2 skirts listed, too.

Oh, my order shipped so I shall get to see how they look and how they feel in a few days.

So my shoe order came in today and they're both fabulous!

Both pairs fit nicely, they're both exactly what I ordered, and to top it all off, they both were packaged with a cloth bag to put them in so they don't get scuffed up or dusty. I partly wonder if the bags are originally meant to hide these shoes from a nosy spouse or something. Either way, the patent leather mary janes came with 2 bags so each shoe is protected and the flat black leather shoes came with one bag.

Needless to say, I'm very pleased with my order. They look to be good quality, too. If I need to buy shoes again (and really, what women doesn't?) I'll be checking this place out first. :D

(The company is based in California, the shoes ship from Wisconsin)

I completely agree. I don't ever see myself wearing those shoes. Luckily for me, since I can fit into a woman's 12 (and 11 in sandals) there are some at Wal-Mart that I can get. Actually, I found a SUPER pretty pair of sandals in an 11 that were only $10!!!

Hi Gin; Payless only carries up to size 12ww but you can ask the clerk to tell you where to order bigger shoes.

most of them will tell you. I was lucky, I wear a 12ww in womens size. Some of my shoes are 11w- I guess it depends

on the company making them. Hope this helps? Luv Ya Regina Renea

I normally can't find anything decent looking that is bigger than an 11, but I have been having some luck getting 12's and even 12.5 on one website that runs random sales. The designers offered are always changing, but the last 3-4 shoe sales had some decent looking shoes in my size (12/42), and best of all, they are all 50-75% off. The only problem is they sell out fast, so you have to keep checking back for new sales. The only downside is that you have to register to get into the website. They offer some really good deals on clothes, as well.

I've got 17 pair at the moment and I never buy by size....

I buy by trying them on...

I've got sizes from 8 1/2 to 12 and they all fit...

Never looked at the size when I got them...'

Pleasers are a brand name - I have ordered from then twice, on different occasions - I couldn't even get close to putting my feet in them either time (size 13) I wear a woman's 12 wide or a 13 medium in any other brand.

I wrote and complained the shoes were not to size - they wrote back and said they were and I would have to pay for shipping both ways - IF the shoes had not been worn. How could I have worn them if I couldn't get them on my feet! The shipping costs was more than the shoes. I gave them away to someone who wears a size 10. They fit her. Pleasers are not anywhere near to their name and perhaps should be called Rip-offs.

Ah, yeah that sucks! I'd say just buy shoes at the store!

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?

I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?

Funny you think that I would be able to get through more than two sentences with how bad my stutter gets (joking, of course)   My topic would probably be mythology, random Japan factoids in my mind, or a favorite story   (Best option would be a fave story of mine including a lot of factoids on Japanese myths-)

I read each of your entries and learn so much. Thank you, especially, for the TransCentralPA info. I have been looking fora group and activities where I could express myself safely and with support. I missed this year's conference but next year might be possible and I am going to look at their other events, too.

I have read numerous accounts of trans folk no longer being welcome among evangelicals.   I am here for help and fellowship not to rebuke anyone.  I can take a pretty high degree of insult, etc., and you haven't insulted me, to my recollection anyway :) and I usually let it go.  But I thought I would let it all out there.   I am sure I disagree with you on numerous issues.  I appreciate other people's viewpoints, including those who radically disagree with me.  Intellectual challenge is good. One thing I appreciate about @MaeBe.
