How can a trans woman acheive a round hairline, without hair transplants?

I've read on tsroadmap.com that if you grow your sideburns to about half an inch, it would help. I've also read numerous of other websites where people purchased derma rollers and used different types of oil to grow back hair or baby hairs, which is kinda unbelievable. Has anyone tried any of this or have any advice for me?

Ive been getting some hair regrowth, from really bare on top (5 to 6 on norwood scale) to a sparse growth all over the bare spots. And lots of peach fuzz. I may never get a full head of hair back, but I'm gonna try.

I take biotin, and every other night use ginger oil mixed with jojoba oil, massage it in, and sleep with it in. Also Hair Energizer spray every morning. With either one, I massage it in, so 2x/day scalp massage. About every other shampoo I use a neem based shampoo.

And learned some hair care tips; no really hot water on scalp (goes for all skin really) don't shampoo everyday, and try to keep the shampoo on the hair/off the scalp. Really, its possible if its bare on top...

Do you currently have a "widows peak "?  It is typically associated with men, but there are plenty of ciswomen with that type of hair line.  In fact, Marilyn Monroe had one.

Finasteride helps too,  though it is a desirable side effect.  About nine months after my doctor prescribed it for me, my male pattern baldness went away. My lips got fuller too,  thank you very much.  It seemed to come after estrogen changed the texture of my pubic hair to female.  HTR really worked for me in so many subtle ways.

For my part, even before I started HRT, I began with the derma/micro needle roller and Rogain. It did infact make a noticeable difference.(took me back about 7 years) When I started hrt, I began on only estradiol. When Sprio was introduced, I didn't notice any additional change in hair, however when I asked for Finisteride my hair thickened up a lot.(back about 15 years)

I personally still have issues with my T being crazy, so have had some hair loss again. The derma roller and rogain does seem to make the fine hairs thicker, though it has been very very slow.

Hope that helps.

Hugs,

Kaylee
