Trans woman from Belgium

Recommended Posts

ElissaMtF

Hello,

I am Elissa, 21 y.o, I am a trans woman from Belgium. I am on HRT since January 2016 so going on my third year of HRT now. I am pleased with its effects.

I have not had SRS yet but plan to have it done in the near future. Researching surgeons currently. Leaning to go with PAI, dr Sutin.

I am straight. Knew I was trans since childhood. Sadly couldn’t come out earlier than 2015 because my parents were unsupportive.

I am currently in college, studying journalism. Love it. I have always loved literature and languages. Mathematics on the other hand, ewww.

What’s more to be said?

Uhmmm, I’m a sensitive person. I love hugging and other warm kind hearted gestures.

I would chose a quiet night at home over a loud night at the pub any time. I don’t drink and don’t do drugs.

I love educating myself about other cultures.

I’m into fashion, make-up and I love reading medical papers.

I’m single (by choice, until I will be post-op), I have one pet, a dog.

I am from Belgium, home of the lovely chocolates ;-)

Anddd I’m new here :P

Hi Elissa

Welcome :)

Your chocolates - well what more does one need :D , except perhaps Belgian beer which is also very good. I too seldom go to the pub but do have the occasional beer.

Thank you for the introduction. Please do not hesitate to read, ask questions as you feel and join in. We are all here for each other.

Nice to meet you

Hi Tracy,

thank you for the warm welcome message ☺️

Our beers are also famous, that’s true. I personally love Kriek Bellevue. It’s beer with cherries. The typical Belgian beers like Palm and Stella Artois are too strong for me, sadly.

I’m especially here to connect with other trans people about the struggles in daily life we face. Especially since the ignorance of other people we are confronted with can be overwhelming sometimes.

Nice to meet you too and I hope y’all will appreciate my contributions on the forums.

😘

Welcome, Elissa! Looks like your chocolate comment is getting lots of attention. I ate my daily ration an hour ago :)

You seem to be living a balanced life - this should help you in your journey. I'd rather have a quiet night at home instead of a noisy night out on the town too. And I'd probably be sitting in my living room with a small dog, if my landlord would allow it.

It's great to have you here.

Greetings Ellisa, I'm glad you joined us.  It's sad that your parents cannot support you, but college is a good place to spread you wings and fly!  I look forward to hearing more from you.  Please join in when you can.

Welcome!  Glad to hear your journey is moving forward.

I do have an important question.  What kind of dog do you have and what is their name?

AWW, I love that question, so sweet :)

my dog is called “ Noisette “ which is French for “ walnut / nut “ . He is 4 years old, kinda small but very fat. His race is a mix of a mops and a bulldog.

I love him. He can be grumpy but he’s lovely :)

Thanks so much. Your message feels very welcoming :) I don’t have a lot of  supportive people so thanks for offering me a place to share my feelings.

Hi Gwen,

thanks for the warm welcome.

I do have a balanced life but it’s especially because it helps me to get through the dysphoric days. I try to work a lot and do relaxing things to be confronted less with the dysphoria.

I love Godiva chocolate. Lindt chocolate from Switzerland is not bad either but I prefer my Belgian chocolates. We have a Leonidas on every corner here. Do you have Leonidas chocolate in the USA? :)

Hi Elissa! Welcome to Transpulse! My mom  took about a year to come around (sort of), my dad took about 3 months. Initially they were very hostile to it. I kept in touch, and basically showed them it was not the end of the world and it was what was best  for me.

Hugs,

Marcie

Jae don;t worry about the spelling I spelled it wrong for over 50 years  and my parents forgot to put the a at the end of Roberta  on a more serious note spouses can take a while to adjust give her time we had a big head start dealing with this some come aboard fast others take a long time after 3 years my wife is only now really accepting this is real but she is still here         bobbisue

Jae, Sister, I can't imagine whats going through you're head now, but you know we are all here for you. You took a big step, although not intentional, but a big one never the less. Give you wife time to adjust to this development. It sounds that she wants to support you, but she needs time to figure out her own feelings. Stay strong, girl!   Big Hug,   Brandi

Dang it sorry for the misspelled names girls,  using auto Text, my fingers are too nervous and are not hitting the right keys I’m not thinking quite straight.

Hi Bobby and Brandi I’m sorry I’m just a little freaked out I had no intention of spilling everything last night, just kind happened and things here could get little bumpy... I’m pretty sure she’s going to stay I sure hope she doesn’t leave me. I’m so anxious I can hardly sit still keep going through bouts of trembling and worrying I love her so much I don’t know what I could do if she left... I would just beg at her feet I think. hugs, Jae

I’ve been telling her how amazing she is since the moment I woke up I think it’s getting on her nerves, I really have to give her some space and a little time and hope things work out right now she’s so quiet it makes me nervous... hugs, Jae

Jae, I'm so happy for you! You have a wonderful woman who is willing to stand by you and that's really great. Have a great time shopping!   Love, Brandi
    • bobbisue
My answer would be a resounding yes and a big hug but this is your decision I am very happy for you I imagine this is a great weight off of you, be sure to tell your little bunny how wonderful she is for standing by you from yourself and from me  ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) to both of you        bobbisue

I spend a lot of my time listening to Radio Caroline on the radio now they have their medium wave transmitter. Not quite the pirate radio it once was (they are now legal), but still playing better music than most stations (lots of classic oldies from those days). I listened years ago when they were pirates and BBC was rubbish, with regard to modern music. In general terms they are still more to my taste!   Tracy

I pay the credit card off at the end of every month. The issue isn't that I'm in debt, or she's in debt. The issue is that she kept using the card when we both agreed to stop using it and because I wasn't paying attention and she never does, it didn't get paid for two months. I've almost filed bankruptcy twice and pulled my fat out of the fire both times, I know what I'm doing here, I'm questioning whether or not she does.

Thank you Rachel, she asked me to do that this morning, wanted to know if I needed help buying clothes... I think I’m still in bit of shock, I didn’t know how to answer. She’s a medical person so she’s worried about the risks... hugs, Jae
