When I say "haiku",

do not reply "Gesundheit!"

It is not a sneeze.

One instructor knows, the head instructor doesn't know officially yet, although he can't have missed all the signs by now. If we ever go back to meeting indoors again, I'll broach the subject then. Right now, its a non-issue.

(I hope one day I find someone to dedicate that song, meanwhile dream on Dina)

Right now, my Apple Music plays The Mavericks   Lies Born To Be Blue   ...and lastly, I found a song that I truly like by Lisa Stansfield TAKE MY HEART

Congratulations on being able to rock the facial hair. Sounds like things are going fairly well with your parents considering everything. Does your Aikido instructor know about your transition? It might be best to start with them when it comes to changing rooms and the like.

For me it has been just the opposite. I hated wearing mens clothes, although loathing would be closer to the truth. I love having  breasts and getting my hair styled and getting my nails done. All of which offend you. But I understand. When you are forced to be the wrong gender just because of what's between your legs then everything you wear are reminders of everything you aren't!  I am so very glad that your parents are supporting you. That is a hurdle many do not get to cross. Don't worry where you land on the spectrum, it will be made more clear to you as you progress on your gender journey. Velsignelser Erikka

So, after almost a year on T, I can finally grow some decent facial hair. There's something about my genetics, all the men in the family look better with face-fur, so after spending some time with an unkempt beard to see how much it would grow out, I decided to try 'scaping. Turns out, I love the goatee look. Now, I haven't officially come out to my Aikido dojo as a group yet, so I've been shaving my face before I go to classes to keep from having to deal with certain logistical issues (changing rooms). Today, I took a huge step since we're all wearing masks and practicing outside anyhow, and wore my goatee to class today! I got a congratulations from the people who know I'm transitioning, but absolutely no negative feedback from anyone else. I'm ok with no one saying a word about it, its better than being attacked for it!   This was also the first time I've 'scaped in front of my unsupportive and transphobic family. They've gotten used to seeing the unkempt beard since I'm often too lazy to shave, but this was the first time I've had a definite male face. Since I've told them I'm transitioning, they haven't said anything negative about the new look, although I know it rocks their world quite a bit. I'm just glad they didn't freak out and make me shave it off completely! I love this look.

I just placed an order for a pair of loafers, it is a gift from me to me with love. I had an eye for these shoes and today they were marked down. so I got them.

I live in Houston as well, and am currently researching top surgeons. We do have several specialists here in town that I personally would consider going to. Your son is soooooo lucky to have you, my parents are totally unsupportive and I have to figure out how to get everything done on my own, with no financial help. Finances and logistical considerations being what they are, in a pandemic, I don't think you're being unreasonable to check into local surgeons first. I mean, we do have a world-class medical center right here, there's no reason to leave the city unless there are some very special mitigating circumstances. Just my cheap 2 pennies' worth.

That’s great news I’m glad they are supportive!

Yes - played the traditional Taking Care of Business by Bachman Turner Overweight.  Seagull is my favorite BC song - forgot about that one - thanks for reminding - I need to revisit. Once Paul Rodgers left BD I lost interest although I did buy Holy Water and liked what I heard. Smoke on the Water - yes - I did in my first band and I remember playing a church festival, breaking a string on my electric and doing the song on a 12 string acoustic. We were really horrible....
