This is wonderful Susan, I seem to recall you posting a few weeks back about finding a support group in your area, it sounds like you have success.

I hope you have a nice evening

Happy for you @Susan R.  We are still in the stage of my wife supporting me to go to meetings.  We haven’t found a suitable spouse support group yet.

Well today is the start of at least 5 days off. I was needing to burn some vacation time so I took F-S-Sun.Today and tomorrow are just regular days off. With it a balmy 9 degrees out right now, and a forecast high of 13. This girl is going to stay inside unless I have to go out. Which I don't foresee having to go out until my appointment on Friday.

Coffee is nice and warming this morning. Have a good all.

It's been extremely cold here too 37°F.  It's probably not going to get much warmer here either.  I have to get my daily walk in and I'm procrastinating a bit hoping for it to warm up a bit.  I'm drinking some strong coffee right now, hoping to light a fire under my feet.  I lost my motivation to do anything with a phone call this morning.from my doctors office.  I had a gender health appointment scheduled for tomorrow.  Unfortunately, my doctor got the flu which, by the way, is running rampant in Washington State right now.  I was so looking forward to this appointment.  I went shopping on Monday and bought a brand new outfit for it.  I was also going to be receiving my new HRT regimen prescriptions which was going to be the main topic this appointment.  Now I have to wait until March 6...her next earliest available opening.  Maybe it's a blessing in disguise with all the flu virus going around.  I'll probably do what Kymmie is doing and just stay inside today and get some cleaning and organizing done...after my walk, of course.

Hi,

I spent the day at an exihibition for people trying to start or operating businesses doing embroidery, heat transfers and  screen printing.  Roughly 500 women and a handful of men.  No one openly misgendered me, so I’m feeling pretty good about that.

Went  to to dinner in a dress and heels and was consistently referred to in the feminine.

Hope everyone had as great a day as I did.  Day 2 tomorrow.

That sounds real crafty Willow, how fun.

Coffee tastes great, on my 2nd cup here as I type this :coffee:  I've just applied Friday's E patch (ahhh), and reflecting on a nice evening with friends last night and being a hostess cooking and entertaining, one of life's true pleasures. It will be their turn at their house next time, we rotate back and forth. Our kitty has the zoomies this morning and is zipping around the house, being a crazy cat

Smiles, and have a wonderful day everyone

It's a bit late to be sitting here with my first cup but last night was busy processing yesterday's sap flow.  The farms hopping.  Had one more kid goat born yesterday so we are up to 18 now, unless new surprises await morning chores.  Had a wonderful morning yesterday delivering 10 cases of syrup to 5 of our small retailers which is always fun.  So many nice farm stores with lovely folks.  Today i'll be running the evaporator, working on the ATV and doing regular daily chores.

Mmmmm coffee.  I need it.

Hugs,

Well today is the day. I get to go see my GP about HRT. I am so excited. Even with my appointment at 3 I will be leaving early. I also have fasting labs to do. I might get grouchy with nothing to eat until dinner. At least I can have my cup o joe. Have a great day all.

Just finished a late coffee here.  We had snow two days ago but it was nice yesterday so I went out for a long walk in Exeter.  There was a huge Bald Eagle flying over the river.   I'll go out again today.  Tomorrow night we're going to hear a Fleetwood Mac tribute band.  Should be fun!

Things are hopping at your farm Charlize!  The goat kids are so cute when they are tiny!  I was thinking it was early to tap trees but you are far enough south of me.

Keep smiling everyone!

It's so majestic to spot a bald eagle in the wild, amazing.

Enjoy the "Mac attack", "Gold Dust Woman" always does it to me

Jani it's been over 50+ years since i walked along the river at Exeter.   At that point eagles were almost extinct.  Silent Spring had just been published.  Fortunately it made a difference.  Today unfortunately we are seeing a reversal as 45 is allowing the spraying of dangerous chemicals.  Corporations are  unfortunately in control.  This time it is the pollinators that are at risk of extinction.

I hear you Charlize but don't count out the good people yet.  There are too many species that are in trouble.

I took advantage of the weather and took another walk today.  Here is the river as it passes along the back of downtown businesses.   An old dam was removed two years ago that has helped the flow and greatly reduced flooding concerns here.

This is downstream looking back towards town along Swazey Parkway.  There were about five bob houses on the ice that ice fisherman (people?) use.  As this river flows into the ocean it does rise and fall with the tide.  Not sure I'd be out there.  It was a good day.

Yes! Ice fisherpeople! Lol. I never did understand the allure of sitting in a freezing cold shack on the ice to dangle a hook in freezing water for uninterested fish, but maybe it’s just an excuse to sit and drink beer in solitude? I’ve never heard of anyone ice fishing with anyone else or without a case of beer. I’ve also never been before.

Nice photos Jani. I am reminded  of when I used to go fishing, when in my teens, although I don't remember going when it was icy, but did go at other times the weather was poor. After spending one uneventful day in the cold beside the river I remember testing the water. It was noticeably warm compared to how I was brr! The summer evenings beside a local lake were better. Just about to put my coffee on. I have a nasty cold at the moment so feeling very lethargic, but I keep going. Have a lovely day everyone.

Jani, beautiful pictures. I can bet it is gorgeous in the summer. Some century I want to get up to NE and ride some of the areas.

My appointment when well. My PCP is looking for the letter. Which my therapist was to do by the time I had my appointment. he was expecting to come from my MH pharmacist.  So It is follow up time. To see where the ball was dropped or lost.

Coffee is being made as I type this. Have a great weekend all.

Hi all,

So I'm new here, but I love coffee too. I just get my usual cheap regular at Starbucks on the corner close to my apartment. Often I order up. They have a Lebanese guy that runs arounds the corner and delivers my large regular, or a Cappuccino. Then I usually just split it in half, pour into a mug, and reheat a little in the microwave. Two cups right there. Good enough for me.

Makeup is the stressful thing in the morning for me. Make a mistake with too much foundation or blush, then you gotta start over.

Hello Beverley!  Nice to meet you.  As to make up I believe in the less is more approach.  Most women go for the no make up look when applying theirs.  It's a natural look we're after.  Love your avatar.    How long have you been out?

Cheers, Jani

Hello Beverley,  I have a similar issue.  I have trouble sometimes getting my mascara prefect on my left eye.  For what ever reason, I don't have as good of dexterity applying the brush with my left hand.  I try to do it with my right hand but it's very tricky and seemingly more difficult.  It's always been this way for me.  One mistake and it's time to start over on that eye again.  Does anyone else have this issue and found an easy solution for this?

BTW:  I'm up in Ferndale, WA (near the Canadian border) right now on a weekend visit and sipping my daughters very strong but delicious Starbucks breakfast blend coffee.

 Hi Jani,

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, my avatar is really me, and not stolen from some other site. My makeup "team" did a wonderful job here, and it was only on Wednesday afternoon, before an evening get together with friends.

Personally, I LOVE makeup. My face shape and eyes lends itself to makeup. I usually do the minimum too in the morning, similar to my avatar, but usually just a good foundation, with a bit of mascara and a little blush here and there, and my red lipstick. Can't do without that. Been the same for 10 years now.

I haven't really been "out" ever, but everyone knows me and respects who I have become. Initially there was an outcry, but it calmed right down after a few years, once they realized that I'm going to be the new me permanently.

Hi Susan,

I got this from my sister. When applying mascara, rather than keeping your head still and applying with your hand, try holding the brush steady by placing the back of your hand of the table edge and moving your head, eye or eyebrows around your hand, while checking your makeup mirror. And you'll have one hand free to work the eyelids. Try it. You will have a lot more precision. I only use my right hand for makeup, never my left.

Very nice pictures jani. We have a river that goes right through boise. During the summer you can float down it. It is fun but I haven't done it in a very long time. I like to take my bass boat down to another river or one of the reservoirs here and catch and release bass or crappie or what ever else I catch. But there are a couple that I dont throw back. Hugs all!!!?

Good Morning    well it’s Friday for most, pay day for some.  For me it’s pay day but not Friday.  I work the same opening shift tomorrow.  I typically have Friday on Saturday and Monday on Tuesday.     @KymmieL it does sound like your shop has an issue and you are smack in the thick of it.  The new gal or guy often is.  We have an issue with new people not getting fully trained before being turned loose on customers.  Some struggle through it and some quit because of it.  I try to get them working with customers as quickly as I can but I stay right with them observing, helping, even jumping in when things are getting backed up to keep the stress down.  Not everything comes up during training so when things do, even later after trying is done, I try to help and explain.  Our ASM feels that once she has you scanning barcodes and taking money she is done training.  Generally, refuses to train me on things that she does, and questions why I’m doing something that she normally handles when I’ve been told to do it as part of my advancement training.     She and the cashier involved both keep trying to toss the manager under the bus over a hours of work issue and shifts.  I tell her I realize her issues and I’ll work what ever she needs.  Because of that I tend to get a better more consistent schedule.   Well, time to say Happy Trails to you, until we meet again.   Hi ho Silver, away   Willow

That does get you the 'starting point' for cup size, but manufacturers, style, breast shape, etc... will effect the results.    Step one is of course finding the proper band fit, then figuring out the approximate cup size with the calculations. Of course you need to try on a few styles after that in different cup sizes close to your measured result until you get the perfect fit.    I have bras in a DD that fit just like my bras in DDD both from Torrid but different styles.    I have some DDD's that fit awesome and some that are a bit loose, but I measure a 46G. It's not wonder that 80% of women are wearing them wrong bra.

I firmly believe I drank entirely to much for about 25 years. Got drunk every day. This was my coping mechanism to keep hiding deep inside that I was a woman. I miss a lot of signs over the years. Now I drink mabye 1 or 2 beers a day don't even get a buzz anymore. totally accept myself and on regret is that I hide that part of my self which  truly makes me happy being violet 💜. I wasted a lot of time before  being self destructive and had no clue I was just hiding th real me

Well it not morning and I haven’t been on her for a while but it’s nice to be back.  Did some catching up on everyone.  I do have a question, how is Toronto Canada for a get away? Is it a safe and friendly area for us to go.  The wife and I are looking for some where to go to allow me to be my true self.     thanks in advance

Hey, everyone. my life is going down the tubes. at least I think. So, today. A customer called about his car, I told him that the oil change was done. The parts to fix the check engine light are ordered. He can come and get it. For the weekend if he wants. Customer says I didn't want an oil change. it was check the engine light and check for an oil leak. Checking the work order says oil change. The boss wrote the vehicle up. checking with the customer on services wanted.   Being that I wrote down the appointment in the book. and clearly states oil leak. She is complaining because she can't read my small ish writing. It seems she read oil and assumed it as an oil change. It seems like she is blaming me.  She wound up going home because she was too upset. She is stressing about an eye problem she has, she has to get eye surgery it seems she has a tear in her eye.    I feel that I am short for this job. because of the BS they are blaming me on. Plus I am still upset about the trust issue. If either one of the bosses start their Shite tomorrow. I am walking out.

"I love you so much,"  Lois said.  They met in the driveway. "I could not live without you." "Neither could I." "What are we going to do?" "Find another counselor?" "No. I think we need to solve this ourselves." "Do you think we can?" "I don't know.  But what I know is that I don't want to go through that again.  I think we have to hope we can find a solution." "Otherwise, despair." "Yeah.   Truce?" "Okay,  truce." And they hugged.   "When we know what we want we can figure out how to get there."   That began six years of angry battles, with Odie insisted he could dress as he pleased and Lois insisting it did not please her at all.  He told her she was not going to control him and she replied that she still had rights as a wife to a husband. Neither was willing to give in, neither was willing to quit, and their heated arguments ended in hugs and more.   They went to a Crossdressers' Club, where they hoped to meet other couples with the same problems, the same conflicts, and the same answers, if anyone had any.  It took them four tries before they settled on a group that they were both willing to participate in.  This was four couples their own age, each with a cross dressing husband and a wife who was dealing with it.  They met monthly.  It was led by a 'mediator' who wanted people to express how they felt about the situation.  Odie and Lois, as newcomers, got the floor, and the meeting was finally dismissed at 1:30 in the morning - it was supposed to be over at 10 - and everyone knew how they felt about the situation.   There was silence in the car on the way home.   "We aren't the only ones dealing with this." Odie finally said.   "Who would have thought that?  You are right."   "Somebody out there has a solution." "I hope you are right."   "I hope in hope, not in despair."   "That's my Odie."
    • Abigail Genevieve
The counseling session was heated, if you could call it a counseling session.  Sometimes Lois felt he was on Odie's side, and sometimes on hers.  When he was on her side, Odie got defensive. She found herself being defensive when it seemed they were ganging up on each other.   "This is not working," Lois said angrily, and walked out.  "Never again. I want my husband back. Dr. Smith you are complicit in this."   "What?" said Odie.   The counselor looked at him.  "You will have to learn some listening skills."   "That is it? Listening skills?  You just destroyed my marriage, and you told me I need to learn listening skills?"   Dr. Smith said calmly,"I think you both need to cool off."   Odie looked at him and walked out, saying "And you call yourself a counselor."   "Wait a minute."   "No."
